rupp is an NBA crowd from the donor's seats to the erupption zone, no matter if there are 24k or 10k people there. What else would you expect from a basketball court that is inside of a shopping mall?

Haha. 14,060 announced.

Standing ovation when Cal lets someone else coach the team. An omen?

If you think this is what Kentucky will look like come March you are delusional. Calipari may be a lowlife, but he does get his players to consistently play hard.

Judging this team's effort and execution based upon a practice in October is foolish at a minimum.

These guys will probably look very ugly for a lot of the non-conference season. The SEC still has mostly weak teams. They should easily be able to do well in conference based upon talent alone. When March rolls around this will be a completely different team than what you are seeing tonight.

I'm not predicting Final Four for them or anything... I'm simply saying that judging them from tonight's practice game is a pointless exercize.

Look at my 2nd post in the thread, obviously I know it's early, but if you don't hustle you don't hustle.

If they don't play hard... they won't play.

Calipari doesn't have to worry about winning over the fans. If he's got a very talented guy on the bench, they won't attack him like they did Gillespie.

Riding the pine has a way of getting lazy players to work harder.

It is a practice and Wall, Bledsoe and Cousins look pretty good.

I'm not too impressed by Cousins. Patterson looking good, Dodson looking good, and I think Bledsoe has looked better than Wall for the most part. A few Turnovers though.

Here are the last few minutes of their scrimage. Wall can dunk uncontested but I would like to see him try against our bigs.
