This was the question I asked someone I work with who probably knows more about weight lifting and body building than any of you (including Hawklin) pretend to.

"I heard you are home sick with the flu. I hope you are ok. I was wondering if it is possible for a college athlete to gain seven pounds of "muscle mass" in two weeks"?

This was his response.....

Hey Gutter- The most amount of muscle mass someone could conceivably gain in 2 weeks is about 2-3 lbs of muscle. That would be pretty incredible though since most top athletes can only gain 2-3 pounds of muscle per month. Generally when you hear a commentator say someone put on 20lbs of muscle in the offseason the person actually put on maybe 10 lbs of muscle and 10 lbs of fat but the added muscle makes them look way bigger. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any more questions about it.

Joe

By the way, this is Joe........100% Natural too.

Body water
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In medicine, body water is all of the water content of the human body. A significant fraction of the human body is water. Lean muscle tissue contains about 99% water by weight. Blood contains 2% water, body fat contains 1/2% water and bone has 97% water. Skin also contains much water. The human body is about 60% water in adult males and 55% in adult females.

So just drink a bunch of water and you can gain muscle size...LOL

My muscle mass fluctuates - - in the morning, I have much more blood than water in my pole which should subtract at least 6lbs from my overall body weight.

Did that make sense? No? It didn't to me either but it's about a boner so it's funny.

I'd like to make a couple points about kids gaining weight.
At this point they aren't completely physically mature yet. They probably won't grow taller but they haven't finished filling out yet. After the season ends most have probably lost weight throughout the season and some of is just a return to normal. Couple that with supervised weightroom work and plenty of calories, and it's not surprising that they can gain mass rather quickly.
On a personal level I went to Boot Camp at about 170 pounds and 12 weeks later it was 195 and I was in a helluva lot better shape.

10 pullups with 40 lbs of weights hanging from your ankles while giving the stare of death to everyone in the room = awesome.

Collins is a type of guy I hate, a mesomorph. If he wasn't a basketball player and was a running back instead he'd probably be putting up 400 on the rack. W/ that said, I'm still pleased to say that as it is, I am stronger than Sherron Collins as a ectomorph

BTW, who was the other guard that can bench 265? None of them look like they can do it, unless Teahan or X is being considered.
