With the age of the OL, it seems that the chiefs are on the downhill slide now, new coaching staff likely next year, etc. How many years before they make the playoffs again?

Larry Johnson will keep them in a lot of games.

I love LJ, but he played his butt off today and the D can't tackle. If they can keep the OL together and healthy, they'll be competitive. Unfortunately, in the division they're in, they will have to get much better on D to stay in the hunt.

Nice fumble, dumba$$. My fantasy team's playoff opponent this week has the Giants Defense.

The problem is the General Manager, who keeps bringing in washed up veterans because he won't spend money on the good players. Tonight's defensive effort was horrible. Overpursuit, a trademark of Gunther Cunningham defenses, only works when you have the horses with the strength and speed to put somebody on their butt. These guys just stand and watch in slack jawed amazement as the offense cuts back against the grain and burns them again. I haven't seen so many arm tackle attempts since my last 8th grade football game, and I can't remember the last time a defensive back actually intercepted a pass.

Trent Green is trying, but he's too damned old and afraid of getting hit, and his receievers wouldn't lay out to pull in a ball if their lives depended on it. Bottom line is that this team has already packed it in for the season. There was no fire, no motivation out there tonight. Same old sad Chiefs story. I hope Arrowhead is empty for the final home game. They sure as hell don't deserve a full house.

Agree on all points, Psych. I'm constantly amazed at how the chiefs sellout AH after efforts like today.

At least the KU chief fans have a bowl game to look forward too. KSU chief fans have Bethune-Cookman tonight.

99 percent of Kansas City Chiefs fans aren't like you, thank god.

That was a very disappointing showing for the Chiefs. But I will always be a Chiefs fan. I will stick by them, and press just as hard to get rid of Peterson.

One glaring thing I notice as I watch the Chefs....Trent Green has no, and never has had any, F I R E. He always walks around looking like he's wacked out on Oxycontin, very indecisive, and it just seems to really bring the emotions of the offense down (see Eric Chenowith for another example). Oh well, another year, another season ending in failure. Chefs fans should be used to it by now. And some called me crazy when I predicted 8-8 at the start of the season. Oh well, I predicted 4-12 for the Donks. Glad I was wrong on that one!

This year it's Indianapolis and everyone else. The whole thing is theirs to win.

Larry Johnson is all about Larry Johnson. The guy wouldn't block a thief trying to steal his mother's purse.

Agree with RMan on that one. His ole' on Fujita last week totally killed KC's momentum and gave the edge to Dallas. LJ thinks he's too important to do the little things like blocking for his teammates, and, as we all learned from Terrell Owens, there is no amount of talent to make that kind of attitude worthwhile.
