Me too. I had a little kink in my neck this morning though.

I've been going to the chiropractor the last two weeks for the kink in my neck. They have me on a six week schedule. With my HSA, its about $85 a visit.

My insurance covers $150 per year in chiropracty or massage. I'm thinking massage. I'll have to check and see if my HMO covers the happy ending.

The massage, imo, is only good while you are there. Three seconds later and it seems to come back. But with the coverage, massage might be the way to go.

They say that the benefits of massage last up to 30 days. As far as kinks and cricks, I think you're right. But I think the same thing about chiropractic treatment-- you have to go regularly and consistently to get real benefit. Who can afford that?

As far as helping the chi flow freely through your body, and un-knotting muscles, the benefit of massage does outlast the day. I have to get it at the end of the day though-- if I have to go back to work or something, I quickly regain the tension and the benefit of relaxation is out the window.

I have a cold-- I've been told that massage can actually help to stimulate your immune system. But even though I have some "wellness" coverage plus a gift certificate that's been pinned to the bulletin board since Christmas, I have a hard time focusing on ME enough to go.

I hear ya. I leave work an hour early for the chiro or I wouldn't do it. Work suffers a little, but the family won't. Hope ya get to feeling better. I could tell you were sick, your posts have been less than desirable the last few days.

HA!

I went the physical therapy route for my neck and back problems. (covered by my insurance which does not cover massage and provided very limited chiropractory benefits). One of best decisions I've ever made.
