Why is it incomprehensible?

The debt was discharged.

The creditor filed a complaint in objection.

The debtor filed an opposition response to that complaint.

The creditor filed a response to the above opposition.

Finally, the debtor filed a motion to discharge the creditors response.

Is the issue with the use of the word "discharge" in the final motion? If the correct legal language had been used (not sure what that would be...dismiss? exclude?) would it otherwise be incomprehensible?

I know this isn't the point of your thread, but I'm just curious.

I guess Clarence Darrow here missed the part about the legal argument being incomprehensible, not just the title of the document.

Well, since the legal argument wasn't given, I guess I just fail to find the humor. The title, which alone is not incomprehensible (aside from the use of "discharge"), isn't exactly funny.

So, did he post this because he thought it was funny? If so, I guess I'm just looking for a better joke than a long, somewhat complicated title of a motion. If this is considered legal humor, then I'm glad I won't be going to law school.

I agree. It's not that funny. I think Jfish just wanted to remind everyone how much smarter he is than them because he's in law school.

pffft.

I suspect that may be the case. At any rate, my question remains. Was the title itself SUPPOSED to constitute a joke?

I assume anyone in school figures they have something to learn.
Nothing wrong with that.
It's those in school that think they know it all that are missing a point somewhere along the line.

"The more you know, the more you know you need to know" is no joke.

Now, about JFish's recent posts; *Buying Guns, and *may God have mercy on your soul...

Does anyone see fire in this smoke?
