I don't get it either. It means they are still playing. It still means the CrapSox have a chance (slim) but still better than no chance at all. So again, how is it meaningless?

Agreed it is very hard but not impossible. What scares me is much of this Sox is largely the same crew that did it before so they already believe it. The Rays know that too so I hope it does not get into their heads.

The Carmines have had a tough go of it in the Trop this season but the series is far from over.
I give the Rays all the credit in the world. They have played some great ball this year. Win or lose the Series it was on of the best seasons I have seen a team have since the Braves went from worst to first.

Quote: point of order ...not quite the same crew that did it before, and no place is tougher for visiting teams than the Trop (turf, catwalks, etc)
That said, the longer that game wore and (and this series) I've got a bit of concern because the Bo$ton hitters are getting used to Tampa pitchers.
No not exactly the same crew I agree but many of the same parts including the coaching staff. It looked to me like the Rays bullpen guys were all overthrowing last night. It was like they thought they could throw three strikes on one pitch. SETTLE DOWN FELLAS.
