Agreed.

Wayman Tisdale was a real force. (but he was also a jerk on the court, he was one of the infamous Billy Tubbs hot-heads that taunted KU fans by flipping them the bird.)

I remember when Kelly Knight and Tis were trading elbows on both sides of the floor. That was a titanic battle on the floor. Kelly really defended him well.

In spite of that, it's sad to see a man that had his abilities lose a chunk of leg to cancer. Get Well Soon.

bummer. hopefully this move will prevent any recurrence of cancer if it isn't already elsewhere in his body.

I was in Phoenix when he played for the Suns. He was never all that great as a pro, but he left basketball for a music career, and I believe he was doing better than just okay. I was really sorry to read about this.

I met him at an NCAA event a couple of years ago. Sincerely nice to all fans. I'm rooting for him-- super nice guy.

I was at that game and as I recall, WT was one of the few Sooners who weren't flipping off the crowd.

BTW, his jazz albums are legit. He's the only ex-jock I can think of who's also a REAL musician. Unlike, say, John Daly or Roger McDowell.

As far as athletes rapping, check out the Macho Man's album Be a Man.

(Okay, so maybe he's not an athlete...maybe it's not rap, either.)
