On her weekly television show, and a couple of radio interviews--

Girls are maturing and playing together better now. The few seniors have started to step up with leadership. The young kids are now adjusting to Big 12 play. They are gaining confidence as they realize they are as athletic as anybody in the conference.

Shaq has really stepped up. Two double-doubles last week, almost two triple doubles. Her dribble penetration has created a lot of open looks for Taylor Mcintosh in the paint, and Taylor is playing much better now. Sherita Smith has improved and will get more playing time. As one of the few seniors, she is needed on the court more and has now earned it.

Transition game is much improved. It's "keeping us in games or getting us back into games." Rebounding, pushing and running are resulting in easier baskets. That's been the difference as we win two Big 12 games in a row last week.

Mcintosh (and Zinic) must stay out of foul trouble. We are young and not very deep in the post. Freshmen Danielle McCray and Portia Weddington not stepping up when Taylor is on the bench. Both are struggling, but Danielle will break out again soon. She has just too much talent and is too competitive to get down on herself. It is crucial the freshmen post players get more aggressive at both ends of the floor.

Shaq has basically taken on the floor leadership for this team. Not afraid to take the big shot and defenses must now play her differently.

The girls have remained positive, even after losing nine straight Big 12 games. The two upset victories last week show they believe in what Bonnieball is designed to accomplish, and the mix of only three seniors and an abundance of freshmen is working better now as the Frosh gain Big 12 experience.

The foundation has been put in place. The young kids are understanding the program. Their great attitude made the big wins last week possible.

(The 6'5" Canadian amazon recruit was not mentioned. She's gonna make a big difference starting next season and elevate Bonnieball into the upper half of the Big 12.)
