I think the blister is on his throwing hand - or in this case, his picking hand. Not likely due to finger picking the guitar - he looks like a pick man.

Anyway, Smardz ain't going nowhere. He's already a fan favorite. But it will only take a few weeks before the rest of the league has him scouted. He's very young and appears quite wild at times. But he definitely has a presence. And the Bears could use him right now, too.

And by the way, my youngest made it through 10 innings Saturday and then fell asleep. She had a pretty nice time. So did I.

As long as I say the Cubs are done they play well and vice versa. Next time I say the Cubs will get to the World Series they will lose 5 in a row. I will keep on track and say they are done.

Well maybe the Brewers will realize there is another team in their division who can play ball. Not a good mental message for the Brewers when their two aces get beat at home in back to back games by the team they are trying to overtake.

Lots of games to still be played. Cubs can win the divison by 10 games or be out of it by mid to late August. We shall see.

I believe it will remain close to the finish, with St. Louis not disappearing from either team's rear view mirror.

good points ^^^ st louis will remain a factor, and as annoying as always...can never count them out of it.

and yes gutter, very true...this is the cubs we are talking about. you and i (and everyone else) have witnessed some monumental collapses over the years. if they can maintain their confidence and continue doing the little things it takes to win ball games, they SHOULD have no problems taking the division

I am enjoying the race between the Cubs and Brewers I just hope they don't forget about the f'ing Cardinals and let them sneak up on them. That would make me ill.

Cubs bats go silent in the Friendly Confines. Looks like my 1-5 or 2-4 "prediction" against the Bucs and Stros just may come to pass.

Gutter, when are you going to frigging learn. If you want your Cubs to succeed I suggest you stop fawning over them.

Its true Cubs fashion to see these 2 boasting one day and slamming the team the next.

Are you talking to me?

I don't remember boasting about this team at all.

Not my style. Especially since I'm a Sox fan.
