The #6 Lady Bears (14-1)(2-0) are on a 7 game win streak with KU coming into the FC on Wednesday night at 6pm. The game will be on CSTV. Anyone making the trip down to Waco?

Most people don't even make the trip to AFH. Fans that do go, care though, I did notice that.

hey, Boo!

there might be some Hawks from the Metroplex there ...

I was at the FIRST Big XII men's game between KU and Baylor about 11 years ago, it was crazy!

Baylor is actually the only place I've seen a football and a men's basketball game ... the Baptist girls on campus are vastly underrated!

i'm pleased to talk mbb as well. but the k-state wbb team has done some pretty remarkable stuff of late. particularly when juxtaposed against bonnie's team that was suppose to now rule the state. not so fast my fine feathered friends.

and i see nothing wrong with challenging the baptists to treat their women as equals, with all due respect. afterall, their wbb program is far and away the finest on that campus, as you will surely find apparant this evening in wacko.

So what do you do about teams like Tennessee that call themselves "Lady Vols"?

I agree that Jayhawk is a Jayhawk as a Wildcat a Wildcat, but calling them "Lady (blank)" ... good grief, a lot of those women teams call themselves Lady (blank).

Deb must have really recruited some hard-core Christians to this team. Good for her. It's just too bad that those that skip chapel service or Bible study get in Deb's bad graces.

i have no problem with teams choosing to call themselves 'lady _____' what ticks me off are fans of this or that school arbitrarily calling their women's team something they don't call themselves, e.g. lady jayhawks.

lady vols is fine with me. that's what the great program calls itself.

on the other hand, lady wildcats is not right. they are the k-state wildcats women's basketball program, period.

Shows how little you actually know about Baylor Athletics... Since 2004-2007, Baylor has won 16 Big 12 Titles, ranking 2nd overall in the Big 12 behind only Texas. Of those 16 titles, only 2 have been won by the WBB Team. Oh btw, the Baylor WBB has just as many or more Big 12 titles in that time span as the entire Athletic Departments of the following schools....Iowa State (2), Kansas State(2), Texas Tech(1), and Missouri(0). Do a bit more research before you open your mouth again.

I am not a big women's bball fan (say what you want). Trying this last week, as my dad is a big supporter.

However, this is just not exciting. Part of that is the fact that in all 3 games I've watched, we've looked outclassed (except for first 10 minutes of OSU game).

From what I've seen....McCray is a good player...McIntosh should be but isn't, and Nicolette Smith will be a good one as well (she seemingly can shoot).

I do not care for 00 or 20. They dribble. Dribble. Dribble. Then shoot.

Yuck.

Missed Kohn, as she has the ankle injury. Of course she is attractive, but the other one (Katie Smith??) seems more attractive to me.

all right quinn womens basketball just like mens basketball is about winning and how far your team can go, so can we please stop talking about which player is the best looking it just gets annoying.

if you would watch more than 3 games you would see that 20 (sade morris) and 00 (lachelda jacobs) are 2 of our better players, the 2 of them dribble so much in the past few games because mccray has been in foul trouble and our freshman center has somewhat hit a wall as well as nicolette smith.

right now we dont have too many playmakers on our team and they are trying to keep us in this game, lets cut these players some slack just like we do with the mens program.

I haven't had access to the games, as I don't live in Kansas. I knew their names...didn't want to use them as they seem to want to draw all the attention to themselves in the games I've seen.

Granted McCray has been in foul trouble. I did mention that she seemed to be the best player. Kohn is pretty decent too, right? Hurt since I've been watching, so can't make my own judgment there. Nicolette will be good. So will Boorgard <sic>.

Cut the players some slack? No one cuts the men's team any slack at all when they lose. NONE. Just wait until we lose. I'm not one that flames the team. But your statement (in my opinion) was silly.

And about their looks...sorry, I'll just be annoying I guess. Besides, it was my 101 class. Give me a break.

well, i'm fine with the distaff tag on your wbb program if its self-inflicted. great.

i still say the lady bears are the best program going there today. but i don't follow minor sports. compare them to your mbb team, football, baseball, and i suggest they are the best program in wacko.

all right let me apologize your right we dont cut the mens players slack when they lose, but with this team it's a different situation. when sade and jacobs are in the game we dont have too much around them as i said mccray has been in foul trouble and kohn has been hurt, we dont have another scorer to help them out because the 2 freshman have hit the wall.

about the looks comment i'm a guy too i notice their looks i'm just respectful because it's about basketball not who the hottest player is. no one does it on the mens board we don't need to do it on the women's.

has baylor won a national championship and league crowns in baseball recently? ans: nope. have the lady bears? ans: yes. therefore, the best program in wacko is most likely the lady bears.

that's my logic.

Yes, the Baylor Baseball program has won league crowns. Until you can prove to me that you are knowledgeable about your own school when it comes to sports, you have no right to move on and try and act like an expert on other athletic programs.

you didn't answer my question. and i suggest an objective view of your program from a k-state fan gives a better national picture than your more focused approached. has baylor baseball won a national title? just answer the question.

over baseball?

has baylor won a national championship and league crowns in baseball recently? ans: nope. have the lady bears? ans: yes. therefore, the best program in wacko is most likely the lady bears.

that's my logic.

Yes, the Baylor Baseball program has won league crowns. Until you can prove to me that you are knowledgeable about your own school when it comes to sports, you have no right to move on and try and act like an expert on other athletic programs.

And with that folks, bubear has delivered a nasty TKO to tmcats and wins this fight in the first round!

You asked if Baylor has "won a national championship and league crowns in baseball recently"

bu replied Baylor had won a baseball Big 12 title (2000) http://graphics.fansonly.com/photos/schools/big12/sports/m-basebl/auto_pdf/record_book.pdf

Sorry, you got owned.

In order to be objective, you must be informed, and you sir are not informed. You are correct, Baylor Baseball has not won a national title, however, they have more conference titles then WBB. Furthermore, it can be argued that making it to Omaha is far more difficult than winning a national title in WBB because of the depth of teams in the sport. I love our WBB team, but it is not our most successful sport. Look to Tennis, Track, and arguably baseball for our most consistent and successful sports.

Actually, until 2002, Baylor was pretty bad at WBB. Since then, they've finished twice second and once first. Baylor baseball has three runner-up finishes and a title and is usually in the hunt. Baylor has had some pretty bad WBB seasons (nothing higher than sixth prior to 2002, including one basement finish).

Thanks for the support. We were also Co-Champs with Nebraska in 2005. That was a great year for the Big 12 with Nebraska, Texas and Baylor all making it to Omaha.

Sorry, just skimmed through the teams listed first!

In know this much: Baylor, Kansas and KSUck all have the same amount of WBB Big 12 titles. And guess which was the only in that group to have to share the title? Hint - Not Baylor or Kansas.
