If you thought Roy's teams struggled against a zone, this team could be the poster child for how not to attack a zone. Pretty obvious that we lack quality depth as well. At least two years away from being really good.

They played hard, and rebounded well. Looked to me like they ran out of gas late in the 1st half. No doubting their heart. They did try to dribble around the zone rather than pass though.

I think we're heading back up for the mizzry game.

Well. They hit them when they counted anyway.

OSU was 2-7 at the line at 10:35 left in the 2nd half.
OSU was 9/15 for the game.

That means they hit 7-8 in the last 9:30. It would have been nice if we could have fouled their worst FT shooters more often late, but it's hard to control that sometimes.

Credit to OSU, though. They knocked 'em down with the game on the line.

Cowgirls couldn't buy a bucket in the first part of the game!

The officiating near the end reminded me of the third quarter of the Orange Bowl!!

I guess Kelly Kohn was out with an injury ... they looked out of sync to me, but I haven't seen them in person for a couple of years.

I talked to several people, said that this was the most minutes that Ivana had played, and they she seemed to be forcing things.

I also didn't think the ladies moved too well without the ball, nor did it seem like they came to it.

It was just the first conference game, and it was a ranked, tough opponent, their defense seemed pretty physical, must be a hallmark of Okie State hoops and it's disciples!!!!

My wife and I agreed that the ladies looked bigger from two seasons ago - taller and more muscular!

A friend who covered the Hawkettes in college, and still follows them from Cali says they've had a new strength and conditioning coach for the past couple of seasons, it shows!

***

Maybe a couple thousand there, Okie State brought three busloads of fans!!

I met a guy who's coming to Haskell next year to play football on scholarship, a big ol' Choctaw!

Told the Pokes fans we missed playing them twice a year, things just aren't the same in the "Big Eight and the Four We Hate!"

If you think games that should have been put away but instead the other team made a huge adjustment are hard fought games, sure...

But KU was up 13-0 in 5 minutes and then went on to score 10 pts the rest of the 1st half.

Very disappointing.

I'm sorry...but this team looks like they're giving it alot and not giving up like teams in the past. I only get what you people report to me. Games are NOT shown here in Concordia.

If you're a long time poster on these boards you know...I'm a very big fan of the Lady Hawks!!

The scoring went dry in the first half because McCray got into foul trouble and had to sit out the final 10ish minutes before halftime. As McCray goes, so goes the team.

Oklahoma State isn't a great team and probably isn't a top 25 team in reality, but Andrea Riley is RIDICULOUS.
