I feel like Jared and Mitch Lightfoot would be great extras in Nazi youth film.

Maybe it's just me, but when I'm trying to make a biting point about how terrible someone and his son-in-law are, I try NOT to do so by citing an anti-Semite mocking a Jew.

But again. Maybe that's just me.

lol. Given I know nothing of mitch’s political leanings are, a lot of folks might have been able to intuit it was a joke about their haircuts and general physical traits. By your logic casting directors are all horribly insensitive where nazi youth are depicted.

You’re so broken it’s sad.

So unprincipled conservatism has a limit? Who would have ever noticed?

Jared's words stand on their own. If you want to shoot the messenger......

Now, to be fair. I can't really know what the video says until you post a video that plays.

That said, Trevor Noah...

Guess there’d be no reason now for Trump not to do it all again, maybe get Israel to announce an investigation since we definitely have leverage over them. (And, damn, I was so counting on the ethical uprightness of Ben Sasse to vote for witnesses. I’m sure he’s “disturbed,” though, cuz he’s one of life’s great moral Hamlets)

It’s in the hands of the voters now. 50 percent understand where we’re at and care because corruption and immorality and mean-spirited policy trouble them at their core, especially when they factor in the hypocrisy, the insults to our intelligence, the cowardice and the nihilism that underlie it all.

35 percent either know exactly what’s going on and don’t care or actually celebrate it. Others don’t even know what Trump is guilty of or are given to understand there’s absolutely nothing wrong with abuse of power and wholesale corruption ... cuz Fox News.

15 percent haven’t been paying enough attention to sort through the fog of misinformation, disinformation, distraction and outright lies. It is our job as political activists to stop listening to pundits onMSNBC yelling “outrage,” because while it all obviously is, being filled with rage and despair means nothing unless you turn it into activism.

I will continue to canvass at every opportunity, starting on what may be a snowy afternoon on Feb 8. I will continue to phone bank to recruit canvassers and play whatever other small parts I can to work toward a restoration of decency and democracy. Because it is up to us the people to break the fever once and for all. Or God help us.

Dershowitz in his final arguments,,,,,No president is above the law, but the laws do not apply to a god king with no moral compass. tiny can rewrite the laws in his head as he sees fit.

I hear that Bernie has decided this is good news and has already started writing executive orders. I guess that means my tax cuts will go away, but if I get healthcare and an increased SS check and better infrastructure for my taxes it, will probably be a net gain. Of course we will have to cut military spending to do this so I will sell some stocks before he takes office.

Won’t Bernie be able to dissolve Congress if they don’t go along, given that he will deem it in the best interest of the country?

But anyway back to Adam Schiff and the whistleblower ...

Wowzer! That your line Fenton? Prize worthy.
Hope you all have your last burgers to grill tomorrow for the big game. Ir's election cycle again and Rump is already beating the "they'll take your cows" drum again.

If the wall goes down in the wind, it will be interesting to see the amount of scrap metal left behind by an earthquake. We should definitely italy "invest" a few more $Billions in this boondoggle.

Seeing as this was a DB delivery contract as I recall, how soon will the tiny supporter who built it be mobilizing to rebuild this thing? Do we have a copy of their E&O insurance?

Quick, somebody tell the rubes Mexico will pay for it.

In a statement, Lamar Alexander said he believed there was “no need for more evidence to prove something that has already been proven,” referring to Trump’s pressuring of Ukraine to open investigations into a political rival.

So he's guilty, buuuut....the retiring Tennessee Republican argued that Trump’s actions, though “inappropriate,” do not meet the bar for an impeachable offense and that the matter ought to instead be remedied in November’s presidential election ― you know the election tiny is trying to influence illegally. The same election the trumpublicans are trying actively to stop non-trumpublican voters from voting in.

You know, just like a regular trial, let's have a popular vote for the verdict, except it should be an electoral vote weighted away from a majority of the population. Nice.

So how much money would Bloomberg have to send to Putin to get his files on tiny? What else would he have to promise to give him, because money will not be enough. At this point the Dems should give him Ukraine just to take that pawn off the table.

In reality, giving the Dems the dirt on tiny is in Putin's best interest just because of the societal and political turmoil it would cause.

Let the bidding begin!

It's nice to know that corruption is okay in the fourth year of a presidential term but judicial nominees explicitly ARE NOT. Could someone put together a chart as to when the rules of law are suspended and for what.
