This kid is a freak of nature!

Heard he runs something like a 4.4-4.5 forty and has nearly a 40 inch vertical and is strong as an ox. Talk about late bloomers, this kid looks like the epitome of a late bloomer. I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up playing in several games this year for us.

Edit Reason: corrected spelling & changed wording on last sentence a bit

Another big get for the 2020 class! He's got quite a few quality offers and I think he's underrated by the recruiting sites.

I thought he was gonna commit to us a couple months ago, and when that didn't happen I thought maybe he was moving on. Glad to see he ended up committing now.

A little bit more about Hatcher. His dad played in the KC Royals farm system for many years and was called up to the Royals during the 1998 season. During his playing career he was 6'3" 235lbs., so Hayden comes from a family with some good athletic genes. I also imagine Hayden isn't done getting bigger yet and could easily play in the 225lbs. - 240lbs. range based on his frame and his dad's build. I think he weighed in at close to 215lbs. at the Nebraska camp where coach Miles saw him. Kid went from 185lbs. out of HS and played at around 190lbs last fall to gaining 25lbs. of mostly muscle in the winter and spring to now be at 215lbs. Heard his dad went through a similar major growth spurt at around the same age.

It'll be interesting to watch his further development here at KU.

Is that why run around the house in blue tights, with red briefs over the top?

I realize we have yet to sign our class of 2020, but we better get busy on a 2021 page cause we already have a nice commit to decorate with. Majik Rector WR.

This coaching staff did an amazing job of recruiting for the 2019 considering they started from scratch. They quickly established relationships with high school coaches and players and got some commitments.

I expect the upward trend in talent and numbers to continue for 20 & 21.

Hecklinski was quoted in one article saying they are working hard on the 2021 class already. That is another benefit of finishing most of the 2020 recruiting class early.

We already got 1 commitment in the 2021 class in Majik Rector and I believe he's gonna blow up some this coming season, so we'll have to fight to keep him. Kid has showed up at some camps and performed really well already.

Just had another commitment, whose resume isn't impressive. With as many as we have orally committed, should we start being more selective with our offers?
