Suns' Jackson faces felony charge after arrest
1:46 PM CT
ESPN

Phoenix Suns forward Josh Jackson was arrested in Miami this weekend and faces a felony charge of escape and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest, according to online court records.

Jackson has an arraignment hearing scheduled for June 10, according to the records.

SlaterScoops.com reported that Jackson was arrested at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami Gardens, Florida, after he attempted to enter the VIP area too many times without a proper pass. He was reportedly handcuffed by police and then ran away from the officers.

Arizona Sports 98.7 reports that the Suns are aware of the incident and are gathering more information.

Jackson, 22, averaged 11.5 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 79 games (29 starts) last season, his second in the NBA since the Suns made him the fourth overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Kansas.

Before entering the NBA, Jackson agreed to enter a diversion program in 2017 to settle a misdemeanor count of criminal property damage stemming from a confrontation with a Kansas women's basketball player in 2016.

I'm sure Bob is extremely proud of the NBA career of another guy named Beasley. For some reason, the weed has diminished his skills post-KSU after he was picked second overall in the NBA draft.

"Call him the NBA journeyman, the league’s class clown, the partier, the stoner, the troublemaker; Michael Beasley is everything. Castigated for being a wild child out of college, Michael has often been viewed as a classic prodigal son of the NBA. With his heart broken on numerous occasions and his career spiraling round and round, he is now trying to change perceptions of people about him..."

Just googling Ku basketball and arrest, or criminal, or incident, brings back a lot of names. Ranging from assault/battery/rape to failure to appear for expired tags. Jackson, Collins, Robinson, Johnson, Tharpe, Bragg, Rape at McCarthy Hall, Green, Graham, Traylor, FBI investigations, Multiple probations, ticket scandal, porn star attending games. Source: KJ

i've always said beasley was a rascal. his recruitment would honor ku's best adidas jobs. not a proud moment.

K suc would be proud to have had them at the time of recruitment. Kids will be kids. But the Beas has had to play at china’s Longdong team b/c ongoing drug addiction isn’t tolerated in the NBA. Which I support...that guy had a great supporting cast AND STILL couldn’t do his job.

Kansas State University- 6 Major Infractions

The Wildcat's have spent a total of 12 years on probation since 1953, with their first occurrence happening in 1955. To start off KSU dipped their toes in the water, so to speak. In 1955 they were busted for improper tryouts (an outside group known as "Wildcat Club" collected $59,500 and used that money to transport recruits to and from tryouts, and o pay coaches expenses). 1 year of probation, a good warm up. Next in 1907 1970 they began to step up to the bar, getting slapped with 2 years of television ban, postseason ban, and probation (a triple double in major infraction terms), for a ton of [censored]: academic fraud (had nerds take their tests), excessive official visits, improper recruiting entertainment (wine and dine, no hookers) and unethical conduct. Now we are getting rowdy, but all this was building to '78. In 1978 the football team managed to get on "indefinite probation" (which turned out to be 3 years), for issuing 20 extra scholarships over 3 years. They also faced a two year television and postseason ban from these violations (really though, that's just dumb. How did they expect not to get caught? NCAA: "Hey, KSU, why do you have 105 players on scholarship" KSU: "[censored], ya caught us"). The NCAA was so pissed, they set up a committee to instruct KSU on how to behave in a manner in accordance with the good of the Big 8 and the NCAA. Shiit. Guess they learned their lesson a bit, considering it took until 1992 to get busted again, for improper and extra benefits. Cash payments to track athletes. Again they got caught in 94, for the same [censored]. Does anyone care enough about track to cheat that much? Finally, in 99 they got slapped with some more probation for giving a football player money for his personal use.

Not to mention the Beas went to KSU only AFTER Delonte Hill was hired by KSU. Or Amaad Wainright's 2 felonies in 2018. Or Mary Lakes domestic disputes. Or Eternati Willock's criminal trespass record while at KSU.

"not a proud moment." , right?

If we are so awful and tainted, why hang out on the board at all? Just go away.

we've just had a spirited discussion about the sec v. b12 and missouri's resulting financials. they actually care enough to participate whereas this board is all but dead.

That's nice, sounds like you have found a home. You should go back before they get worried about you and issue a silver alert.

I thought he would blame Embiid for the 76’ers loss. He is a future force in the NBA. Unlike the #2 overall prick. The Beas...

What a rascal!

omg, i was banned on the phog years ago, maybe a decade. ku fans are absolutely the most thin-skinned youngsters in space. never seen anything quite like it. missouri, tigerboard, they just ban for a day on group vote. but that seldom happens even when i'm deep into their skin. i guess theirs is thicker. and they're conservative by nature as well.
