Robinson Earl that used to play for Bishop Miege and a big KU lean that transferred to IMG Academy in Florida and picked Villanova over KU. He had 28 pts and the winning slam dunk over Montverde Academy in some playoffs of all the bball factory high schools. What a jerk less than two years ago Self probably thought he was a lock.

I have a bad feeling that recruiting is going to take a turn for the worst with the scandal going on.

I think the worst is behind KU. I think Nike schools will start feeling the pain next, and Adidas schools will be coming out of the issue faster. I am not too concerned.

How does the scandal affect our program exactly based on the current situation? Losing scholarships would be a huge issue, I don't see them doing that to us, I don't see them giving us major sanctions or the death penalty or something. its going to be a punishment but I don't see how it will hurt the product on the court other than reputation damage.

maybe there is a possibility that we have lost our touch in recruiting and this has been a persisting problem over the years dating back to after the 2012 title appearance we went 6 years without a final four. this scandal is a phantom paranoia the fans have. and actually, the scandal doesn't weigh on the incoming players as one would think (I hope). idk. it can't help but I mean its Kansas so who wouldn't want to be here? I think its the perception we lost this year our streak and our program is on the decline that people don't want to come here more so than the scandal. and tech supposedly "on the rise" does not make us look great either. a lot going on here. It would help, if we had a normal season where one player wasn't so instrumental to our success and if one big gets injured or held out it doesn't deflate us. Bill has done that too many times and relies too much on a single player to carry us when we need more than 1 to carry us. its a team sport. i want to recruit the best players, I want us to recruit Kansas area kids with high priority cause there a lot of good ones right now, cause they have panned out like Tyrel, Morningstar, Releford (KC) all were pretty good and will want to stay. and role players, a combination of all 3 is what gets you the championships I think.

I agree, I think It is wishful thinking a bit, but we are a couple of pieces away from being a really good team. and the only thing we need to worry about in this moment, is getting dok back because he is that important. if he comes back, we are an excellent team again, if he doesn't we need one excellent recruit (hurt) to come to supplement his loss.

This current team, reminds me of 2005 superb recruiting class of KU of rush, wright, Chalmers, and downs. if everyone sticks around in 2-3 year it could be something special.

Recruiting is a big issue, but we have talent, will always have talent. We don't have toughness, and we don't play defense like we use to as well. These things are all coaching issues and want too.

1-5 we have more talent than either team playing Monday night. What the teams MOnday night have that we don't, is toughness and willingness to play defense for 30 seconds every possession.

Whats to get?

Well, One Shining moment was more of a tribute to Zion than the 68 teams that played in it and the one that won it. Sad.

Zion is being primed as the next attraction for Disney's NBA, silly. I wonder if the Pukes will find any "discrepancy" in his recruitment,

Of course I might be wrong....but I will laugh if Zion is a bust in the league...lets say he gets fatter. He takes his 6ft 7 295lb carcass against the likes of OKC Adams...the Greek Freak...Joel Embiid and gets punished. His size and game was great at the college level but against true NBA bigs it will be way different.
