There are a lot of talented quarterbacks transferring now after losing battles to be the starter. Maybe Miles will go after one of them.

Looks like Alonso Person a 3 star 6'3" 215lbs. WR/OLB from Narbonne HS in the Harbor City area of Los Angeles (half way between Torrance and Long Beach) committed to KU tonight.

He goes to the same high school that Stephon Robinson went to. Word is he committed to KU without ever visiting based on what he heard from Robinson as well as a connection to one of our defensive coaches. Even though he was being recruited by some schools at WR, KU recruited him as an OLB. Kid is really athletic and long. He's already got good strength for his size, but if he packs on another 15lbs. to 20lbs. while maintaining his athleticism, he's got some really good potential at OLB.

This puts KU at 26 current commitments for the 2020 class and I'm hearing we're still not done! Clearly some of our current commits have non-traditional offers that they've committed to which is a good thing IMHO as most all look like solid recruits who can help the team out if they stick. It also helps out the roster even more and increases competition for spots on the 2 deep in the future.

KU is sitting at the #26 class in the nation and holding steady at #3 in the Big 12 right now according to Rivals BTW for those who follow these things.

I think my biggest concern about the CC loss was the affect it would have on recruiting. The BC win was the best damage control that could have happen. I am guessing if they were thinking of jumping ship they are not now.

Do we know what the recruits are saying on Twitter? Just curious as to their excitement level.

Emmett Jones got a 2021 verbal from tall WR Jaddai Henry. It is nice to be working on the 2021 class already since 2020 is close to full.

Jaddai Henry, an unrated 6'4" 195lbs. WR out of Hebron HS in Hebron, Texas (Dallas area). KU was his first P-5 offer.

That makes 3 commits on our books for the 021 class already. Although they can't sign up for more than a year from now, so...

Heard Jaddai wanted to commit to KU during his spring visit, but was persuaded to wait to make sure he was 100% certain. So, he hasn't waivered for 5 months or so.

A win today will prolly garner another commit or two, or at least start to have higher rated athletes start to consider us

We need to sign a QB. Maybe two even.

Recruits tend to change their verbal in December. Miles and KU could be headed towards actually "rescinding a scholarship offer." Football coaches doing well to get high interest, but Kansas needs to steal recruits from bigger programs for "Less miles" the KU football program has to travel.
