Eliot is bringing his DL coach. I'm going to rate these hires a meh.

I like the sounds of Drake. And he's a big recruiter? And he's from NO?
Lordy, with he and Hull and Miles tag teaming Louisiana ya think we might take that talent rich area over?

Woops. Meant to put this on Josh's Drake thread. (Senior moment)

Les Miles Words on Mike Ekeler

"Mike Ekeler is one of the Brightest Coaches in the country and we couldn't be more excited to add a coach of his caliber to our staff. The Success that Mike has had throughout his career leading the special teams units at Nebraska and Georgia, in addition to his experience as defensive coordinator at Indiana and North Texas. Will serve us well as we build something special here at Kansas. Mike's energy is contagious, and he has proven himself to be a coach who builds relationships with student-athletes and gets the best out of them on and off the field."

It's nice when the "ties" can help win recruits, especially in-state grin

The worm has turned for KU football. For K-state however, no one can duplicate what Bill Snyder has done. Nowhere to go but down for the kitties.

i actually agree with the first two sentences. les will bring respectability to ku football. and no one could have done what snyder did in mhk. it's been an amazing run.

Klieman was a solid hire. He is a lot like Snyder in several ways.

omg, they're like father and son philosophically. run very much the same type of smash-mouth football, except ck doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger. same kind of backgrounds, small college grads. same philosophy about winning the day. both land granters. fargo/mhk. i mean if ever a guy is set to step-up it's klieman. and the cupboard isn't bare even with barnes leaving for the pros. still, one never knows about coaches until they're out pulling the strings. k-state football without bill snyder is going to be strange.
