Got rolled up last night by GT and just not looking good as a team. We all know this guy can coach, and honestly, the expectations would be obviously much, much lower here than there. What are the odds we swoop in and get him here, seeing as his friend and former boss is now our AD?

And before anyone starts with the...well he can't win there why bring him here stuff....WE WON'T GET ANY COACH THAT IS CURRENTLY WINNING ANYWHERE.
Our next coach has to come from the scratch and dent aisle.

I halfway agree with this statement. We can't get a coach winning at a P% program but we may be able to get a coach winning at a non power who is looking to get into a P5 conference.

Why would our AD get involved with Petrino again?

Gill was 20-30 at Buffalo and had 1 winning season(third season at 7-5) out of 4. I don't consider that a winning coach.

Hardly anybody wants Brent Venables as a coach because of stuff people 'supposedly' have heard about him.

Why would anybody want a coach with documented affairs that has already cost him a job?

LOL! grin You seem to forget that this is Kansas! Our history would indicate a certain idiocy when it comes to hiring or firing football coaches . In my lifetime I have witnessed an idiocy that borders on lunacy when it comes to the gridiron. The only thing I know for certain at this time is it is IMPOSSIBLE to be a worse head coach than David Beaty.

To make all the KU faithful Gridder fans happy, word on street says that Joy Bayhart is the front runner for KUFB HC, so we got that goin for us....Which is NICE.

The staff would be absolutely AMAZING.

Matt Campbell at Iowa State comes to mind. I think he came from the MAC. Glen Mason came from the MAC as did Gary Pinkel.

I hope a list of replacements include Chris Klieman and Luke Fickell.

Klieman connection to Gameball (N Iowa) is a automatic disqualifier. Terry Allen 2.0

So his 62-13 record, 3 National Titles and wins vs Iowa State and #13 Iowa aren't good enough just because he was here 1 season with Terry Allen? I see why Beaty is unacceptable as a coach to you then since he coached under Turner Gill.

Craig Bohl left him a golden goose minor league program. So he isn’t a turn around specialist like what we need to get jumpstarted. Those “national” championships weren’t against OU, correct? Lol.
