Sadly, the third of our last four presidents to feel that way.

Trumplethinskin from earlier today.......He congratulated the work of border agent Adrian Anzaldua on a smuggling bust in Laredo, Texas, inviting him to make some impromptu remarks. Trump said, "You're not nervous — speaks perfect English."

The only thing better than a hero who speaks perfect English is maybe a hero who doesn't get captured?

You have to do a cost to benefit analysis for this big problem stuff.

Keeping people alive is expensive, energy companies just can't afford it.

This is so easy, who knew it was this easy? OK, on to the healthcare problem! If we can go through these this quickly; by next week we should have saved enough money to give me another tax break and increase military spending again.

You know better than that. The cost-benefit analysis is only as good as the variables included.

I almost promised that I could do one that showed that this will, in fact, make America super-duper again and make people live to be 120.

Seriously, people vs profits. What more do you need to consider? People cost money and are liabilities, so profit wins.

This is the problem if you get pointy headed consultants like DC involved. They want to add variables and make a mountain out of a molehill so they can run the cost of your study up and delay things. We don't have time to fritter away before the next recession, let's make money now, study done. The fewer people surviving means there are just that many fewer for us take care of during the recession. Win-win.

Now let's get on to an analysis of abortion!

So Manafort guilty on 8 counts of filing false tax returns and bank fraud. And Cohen has surrendered to the FBI and is preparing to plead guilty and possibly provide information to Mueller. Good thing Trump has got Rockin Chair Rudy on is side.

Just another Tuesday, NO COLLUSION!

But this witch hunt does seem to be collecting pelts.

So we agree, abortion is a good preventative to human suffering. The only thing I might add is that if we make them free to medicaid recipients we might be looking at a big financial upside with long term cost savings.

Let's get that turned into legislation now.

Did you hear that Larry Kudlow hosted Peter Brimlow for dinner recently. They have been friends for years Larry says, they go way back. Never knew he was a white supremacist, it just never came up in polite dinner conversation. It seems every where you look there is a witch or a warlock or a nazi sympathizer in the White House.

Oh and Cohen plead guilty to campaign finance law violations.

Cohen told the court that “in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office,” he and the chief executive of a media company worked in the summer of 2016 to keep an individual from publicly disclosing information that could harm the candidate. And he said he worked “in coordination” with the same candidate to make a payment to a second individual.

“I participated in this conduct . . . for the principal purpose of influencing the election,” he said.

Let the speculation begin, who could that candidate have been......yes the day could have been much worser for Trump.

All of this is pretty big news, but Fox has topped it all with their lead story that the missing girl in Iowa may have been killed by an illegal immigrant.

Vindication! No matter what else happened today, the important thing to take away from the days events are that we should all be afraid of illegal immigrants, and we all know who is the one president who has ever tried to protect us for them. Thanks you PRESIDENT TRUMP!

Back on the road working a crowd of his coal fired fans. I'm sure he will put this all in perspective for them. Sean Hannity will figure out a way to show how this is all another huge success for trump.

YES!

That time a black man was elected president and all the racists lost their mind is a lot like the time a nazi, KKK, Russian KGB sympathizer was elected president and all the people who aren't nazis or KKK or trust Russian gangsters lost their minds.

Good people on both sides, moral equilibrium has been reached, balanced perspective regained. Intolerance of racists is as intolerable as the intolerance of racism. Thank you for your service.

Trump is the embodiment of the Republican Party and he is making America great again and is the greatest president of our lifetime. Is there still room on Mt Rushmore?

I can think of no one who would do it more eloquently.

But we are spending way too much time on trivial matters. Our president is rallying the troops to address the real danger to our nation.

“You’re proud of our country, you’re proud of our history, and unlike the NFL, you always honor and cherish our great American flag,” Trump said. “It was just announced by ESPN that rather than defending our anthem, our beautiful, beautiful national anthem and defending our flag, they’ve decided that they just won’t broadcast when they play the national anthem. We don’t like that.”

Hard to say it any better than that, an "honor" a "cherish" and two "beautiful"s while the injustice of hearing that Cohen gave him up in the Daniels and McDougal cases is rattling around in his head. That is a narcissist Hall of Fame stuff right there. Lots of hall of fame stuff going round right now I guess.

Tighten up the headband on your MAGA hats, it is time to change channels to the Culture Wars! Oh please sweet honorable most cherished beautiful baby Jesus let us finally save Christmas this year.

The Mitt becomes the most courageous Republican in the past 2 years by alluding to generic crimes committed by generic people! What a party.

The events of the last 24 hours confirm that conduct by highly-placed individuals was both dishonorable and illegal. Also confirmed is my faith in our justice system and my conviction that we are a nation committed to the rule of law. @mittromney

OK, let's focus on what we know for sure, Micheal Cohen is a convicted criminal and a lair. He lied about paying off Stormy Daniels and now that he has been convicted, how do we know that he didn't just lie again about committing a crime just to get himself convicted? They say there are wire transfers that document that money changed hands but how do we know those are real? They faked birth certificates and the feds believed them, how do we know the Dems haven't duped the feds again with fake money transfer documents.

Also we know for sure that Trump is not a known liar, he said he didn't have an affair and that he didn't know anything about money to porn stars and he doesn't know why Cohen would pay money to porn stars. I think reasonable people can agree that we should not trust anything Cohen says or any documents he has which we don't think the feds should have been able to get because of client attorney privilege, but he's not my attorney he just did a few odd jobs around my backyard, but now that they have them how do we know that they didn't plant fake documents in Cohen's apartment, so although it is a travesty that they have them, these mean nothing. And the tapes that supposedly have Trump's voice on them? I think we can all agree that the voice could just as easily be Alec Baldwin.

This whole thing is just laughable, I mean this is the sort of thing that just gets politicians a slap on the wrist, everybody in the White House has a felony of some sort I mean really what is the big deal?

Wadda ya think of this year's KU men's basketball team. I like the experience and depth alot. We will see if we have consistent 3 point shooters, but I think we might have enough talent to overcome the fact that KSU has King Dean on their team and win the Big 12 again. King Dean looks like a triple double machine but hopefully we have enough bodies to throw at him to wear him down over the course of a game.

Here’s where we are in America, 35 percent either deplorably proud of Trump or in thrall to the cult. Nothing he does or says — and I am beginning to believe that means ABSOLUTE NOTHING — will sway them, and by extension, their spineless GOP members of Congress. Now this , from the righteous and Most Holy Orrin Hatch ...
Mr. Hatch continued: “I think most people in this country realize that Donald Trump comes from a different world. He comes from New York City, he comes from a slam-bang, difficult world. It is amazing he is as good as he is. If anything, you have to give him plaudits for the way he has run the country as president.”

Where and how does this end?

It ends in 6 years after Republicans hold onto the house and senate this year and Trump is re-elected. It ends with Trump riding off into the sunset with a bag of taxpayer money screaming "see you later suckers", and more Republicans retiring to escape the blowback from 8 years of chaos. Americans like the drama.

I heard a abused wife tell of why she stayed married to a man in spite of the pain inflicted on her. After divorcing she had a habit of picking the same type guy to date for the next 20 years, all those relationships ending badly as well. In spite of that she kept picking the same guy over and over. When she was around the abusive men her stomach churned and she was always on edge. She had decided as a young adult that this feeling was what "love" felt like. When she felt this way, she felt more alive. She got conditioned/addicted to the feeling of anxiety.

The feeling of anxiety and the chaos of her relationships became a comforting "meh". She could forget all her other problems and lose herself in the overwhelming emotional one near at hand. This president is the perfect person to rule over a country filled with people like this. Clinton was the perfect president for the abused who are suckers for the "baby I'm sorry it will never happen again" enablers. Trump is president for the "shut up or I'll smack you again" enablers. Oh, and he is also the president for the abusers as well. Trump makes it a sign of virility and success to be a dick. And the rest of the Republicans are just happy to get what they want by any means.

Remember, if you divorce me you will lose my paycheck and have to go get a job and pay your own bills. If you impeach me, the economy will crash. America loves crazy reality TV and so why not make it a part of everyday life.

It doesn't end when Trump leaves. That's the part youse guys don't seem to be willing to see. Trump is a symptom of a deranged political culture. And it's just going to keep getting worse. Even Joisey will look back on Trump one day with nostalgia for his comparative calm and even keel.

Sadly we agree on this. While politics will get worse I am still not convinced that Trump is not our low point from a winning candidate standpoint. I still think both parties are afraid to have a self described Nazi or KKK member as a stand bearer, but I was wrong about Trump so I am willing to accept that our society is capable of even worse. If we ever get to the point where Trump seems calm and even keeled I will check out. That will be a society not worth participating in for me, so I will never be nostalgic about the man.

You should make your peace with a Trump second term now. Between voter suppression and fear mongering the R's will hold onto the house and Senate even if it is by a slim margin. As long as the economy doesn't crash before 2020 Trump is back by another slim margin. The wheels will start to come off the economy no matter what in 2021 or 2022. That's when Trump and the R's start to sink with the ship. Trump will still be a hero to his cult for flipping everyone the bird for 2 terms but few others will rally around a lame duck. Hell the R's might even impeach him then just for all the [censored] they had to eat to prop him up.

Allen Weisselberg, chief financial officer for the Trump Organization, was one of the executives who helped arrange $420,000 in payments to Donald Trump’s longtime attorney Michael Cohen to help reimburse him for hush money he paid an adult-film star.

Weisselberg, who got his start working for the president’s father, was granted immunity by federal investigators in New York in exchange for his truthful testimony about his role in the payments, according to people familiar with the discussions.

I can't tell truth be told. Originally it sounded like this just happened, but now it sounds like it happened months ago and it is just becoming public knowledge. I would assume Trump knew about it when it happened. Your CFO doesn't just take a day off from the office to testify without the company getting some idea of what is going on. Now that it is common knowledge it hurts the "Cohen is known liar so you can't believe this" line of undermining the testimony. If the CFO corroborates then is he a known convicted liar as well? Best guess is someone in Justice Dept made sure this was noticed by press to counter the Giuliani defense that Cohen is a convicted liar.

Further reading....it sounds like it was known that he had been subpoenaed and he had testified. What is news is that he is now known to have been given immunity for his testimony.

Probably not as scary for the wannabe gangster in the white nationalist house as his accountant, but it seems his friend the Pecker was granted immunity as well for testifying. In the end if the Republicans hold the House all of this becomes moot. The response will be "it's not a crime" let's move on.

I am not surprised, but I had hoped that trump might comprehend the seriousness of the job and try to act accordingly. Nothing in his life story says that is a real possibility, but I figured the job would press it's gravity upon him.

Oh wait, you are referring to Woodward writing a book that would deliver an unflattering narrative. Right, fake news, move along.

I'm wondering though, at what point, y'all decide: is he Hitler? Or somebody slightly less likely to be able to get even his staff to obey orders?

I was always willing to be believe the latter, but not the former. And it strikes me that you can have one but not the other. Or is Woodward gonna have an unfortunate accident?

The most dispiriting aspects of this are a) to discover that Trump might not actually be so brilliant after all and, b) that his comments about Sessions being a retarded southerner call into question the populism that had always seemed so sincere. On the positive side he’s probably too dumb to be a tyrant.

We are tired of being PC m'kay?

The next iteration of US currency will replace the words "In God We Trust" with "The Ends Justify The Means". I think that will be liberating; like having a president who says what he thinks.

The republican party is leading america to a more prosperous and honest future.

yeah!

The Crazytown media weighs in.

It's all so silly and funny when you think about it.

And I just got the third quarter earnings reports, whoo hoo! My third house in the mountains just got real. Insiders tip: if you are thinking about building now, just wait. When the economy turns down again steel and concrete prices will fall and contractors will get desperate to keep people busy. They will do the work for just over cost to put food on their families tables. If you are gonna kick em, do it while they are down.

Drink up america!

I think what is most disturbing is how this man's life has been ruined. Having to possibly be stuck toiling away in a six figure federal judge's salary in his mansion and country club surrounded by friends who have vowed that what happens in Georgetown Prep stays in Georgetown Prep.....oh the inhumanity of it! The horrible fall from grace into luxury.....trump is ordering an extra round of Big Macs and staying up late to watch the reruns on FoxNews and listening to Hannity say this might be the greatest supreme court nomination ever!

The only thing missing today was Kavanaugh yelling "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?'

megamaga!!!

Lindsey Graham on Ford last night on Hannity: “I am more convinced than ever that he didn’t do it, that he’s the right guy to be on the court, that Ms. Ford has a problem and destroying Judge Kavanaugh’s life won’t fix her problem.”

Of course he is the right guy for the court in the trump years. An openly hostile partisan conspiracy monger, I mean seriously, for the trump voters and fox news viewers only Judge Jeanine could be a more emblematic icon for the times.

Ladies, bust out your grandma's chastity belt you have stored away in the attic and prepare to start wearing flack jackets to work and prep school. It is officially party time again for rich white conservative males and your wrath will not intimidate them.

So now we find out that Kavanope, who hadn't heard about the Ramirez story until the story broke in the New Yorker, may have been texting friends to drum up cover before the story broke. Being prescient I think is a definite quality we need in a Supreme Court Justice, this guy is more magical that Patrick Mahomie. And just because you throw beer on a guy at a bar and a fight ensues where someone goes to the hospital after getting a glass mashed on their head, it is not a sign that you are a belligerent drunk. It just proves that what happens at Yale stays at Yale. No wonder trump loves this guy so much.

Seems like he was a pretty cool guy; spent most of his time in the library and working out with skis, Squi and PJ. Remind me what poor man was destroyed and what his type is? I have been away for awhile and it is hard to keep up with all of the desperate men who have been unfairly destroyed lately. Very scary time to be a man. Maybe we should build a wall and keep everyone who isn't a man on the other side. That would fix it.

Just worried about our seniors from an unknown third party bus. It was written on the side of the bus, but you know how many gypsy buses there are out there in rural Georgia taking people on dangerous bus rides, so this was just the County being conservative in an attempt to protect their voters from voting.

Of all the the things that get me so upset these days I’m not sure the GOP’s attempt to actually keep people from voting isn’t the most galling. It’s out in the open and they appear not to care that people know they’re doing it. And so many GOP supporters simply don’t care because they only want to win and democracy be damned.

My R friends like to remind me that our government is a republic not a democracy. Now having deflected let's just say that this wouldn't be necessary if the Dems hadn't gotten a black man elected president. Part and parcel of MAGA is rolling back voter access to polling locations. Having R attorney generals is better than having R governors when you want to control the election process.

I heard that Ted Cruz is a life sucking leech of a husband, good thing he has a Goldman Sachs breadwinner to help fill in the gaps left by his $174K salary. The sad part is they won't be buying a second home anytime soon. Second homelessness is something we as a society just don't worry enough about. Another round of tax cuts on dividends might be just the cure. I know it would go a long ways towards the purchase of my third home. Think about all of the jobs Ted and I could create if we just got to keep more of our money.

I think it is what Jesus would want us all to think about right now. That and stopping those criminals in the caravan coming to invade us from he south.

Has everyone heard yet that Khashoggi was a terrorist? I didn't say he was, I just heard talk, and well you have to think, where there is smoke.....unless we are talking about sexual assault and then we can assume it is probably a lie. It would figure that someone who was friends with bin Laden worked for the enemy of the people, Wapo. Maybe instead of accusing the innocent until proven guilty we should be sending them a thank you note instead. You didn't hear that from me or the WH by the way.
