The Mitt becomes the most courageous Republican in the past 2 years by alluding to generic crimes committed by generic people! What a party.

The events of the last 24 hours confirm that conduct by highly-placed individuals was both dishonorable and illegal. Also confirmed is my faith in our justice system and my conviction that we are a nation committed to the rule of law. @mittromney

OK, let's focus on what we know for sure, Micheal Cohen is a convicted criminal and a lair. He lied about paying off Stormy Daniels and now that he has been convicted, how do we know that he didn't just lie again about committing a crime just to get himself convicted? They say there are wire transfers that document that money changed hands but how do we know those are real? They faked birth certificates and the feds believed them, how do we know the Dems haven't duped the feds again with fake money transfer documents.

Also we know for sure that Trump is not a known liar, he said he didn't have an affair and that he didn't know anything about money to porn stars and he doesn't know why Cohen would pay money to porn stars. I think reasonable people can agree that we should not trust anything Cohen says or any documents he has which we don't think the feds should have been able to get because of client attorney privilege, but he's not my attorney he just did a few odd jobs around my backyard, but now that they have them how do we know that they didn't plant fake documents in Cohen's apartment, so although it is a travesty that they have them, these mean nothing. And the tapes that supposedly have Trump's voice on them? I think we can all agree that the voice could just as easily be Alec Baldwin.

This whole thing is just laughable, I mean this is the sort of thing that just gets politicians a slap on the wrist, everybody in the White House has a felony of some sort I mean really what is the big deal?

Wouldn’t it have been more ecomical to combine a pair of concise hash tags that sum up all that verbosity?

Japhy fans come for the long rambling run on sentences, somebody else can do the hashtags and inaudible yawns.

Actually, no one said that about this. Only about your policy hysteria, which is still quite weird, if not unexpected.

Wadda ya think of this year's KU men's basketball team. I like the experience and depth alot. We will see if we have consistent 3 point shooters, but I think we might have enough talent to overcome the fact that KSU has King Dean on their team and win the Big 12 again. King Dean looks like a triple double machine but hopefully we have enough bodies to throw at him to wear him down over the course of a game.

Here’s where we are in America, 35 percent either deplorably proud of Trump or in thrall to the cult. Nothing he does or says — and I am beginning to believe that means ABSOLUTE NOTHING — will sway them, and by extension, their spineless GOP members of Congress. Now this , from the righteous and Most Holy Orrin Hatch ...
Mr. Hatch continued: “I think most people in this country realize that Donald Trump comes from a different world. He comes from New York City, he comes from a slam-bang, difficult world. It is amazing he is as good as he is. If anything, you have to give him plaudits for the way he has run the country as president.”

Where and how does this end?

NO doubt. This is just history repeating itself.

It ends in 6 years after Republicans hold onto the house and senate this year and Trump is re-elected. It ends with Trump riding off into the sunset with a bag of taxpayer money screaming "see you later suckers", and more Republicans retiring to escape the blowback from 8 years of chaos. Americans like the drama.

I heard a abused wife tell of why she stayed married to a man in spite of the pain inflicted on her. After divorcing she had a habit of picking the same type guy to date for the next 20 years, all those relationships ending badly as well. In spite of that she kept picking the same guy over and over. When she was around the abusive men her stomach churned and she was always on edge. She had decided as a young adult that this feeling was what "love" felt like. When she felt this way, she felt more alive. She got conditioned/addicted to the feeling of anxiety.

The feeling of anxiety and the chaos of her relationships became a comforting "meh". She could forget all her other problems and lose herself in the overwhelming emotional one near at hand. This president is the perfect person to rule over a country filled with people like this. Clinton was the perfect president for the abused who are suckers for the "baby I'm sorry it will never happen again" enablers. Trump is president for the "shut up or I'll smack you again" enablers. Oh, and he is also the president for the abusers as well. Trump makes it a sign of virility and success to be a dick. And the rest of the Republicans are just happy to get what they want by any means.

Remember, if you divorce me you will lose my paycheck and have to go get a job and pay your own bills. If you impeach me, the economy will crash. America loves crazy reality TV and so why not make it a part of everyday life.

It doesn't end when Trump leaves. That's the part youse guys don't seem to be willing to see. Trump is a symptom of a deranged political culture. And it's just going to keep getting worse. Even Joisey will look back on Trump one day with nostalgia for his comparative calm and even keel.
