Why is it cool to be crude/rude if you're a liberal?

We'll see who melts down after November. While some expect a "blue wave", more likely to be a "blue grave". Remember the polls in June of 2016 had Hilldawg with a 90% chance of winning. What happened with that?? Guess I'll have to read her book to find out. On second thought, not gonna doit.

There will be minimal melting in November. I am banking on the Repubs holding power in Nov. There will be no taking the pedal off the gas when the recession starts as long as they still have the wheel. There is going to be lots of money to be made as the Repubs run the economy off the cliff and wave goodbye to the middle class as they step out of the bus at the last second and the rubes realize they have been had again. That's when the meltdown will begin. I am a big fan of vulture capitalism after the last recession. Stockpile cash now, it's about to become a buyer's market.

The fact that you appreciate and respect our efforts is gratifying.

But when the shite comes down in the recession I am still buying you retirement village, kicking you and your friends out and tearing it down to sell to the Russians for the uranium buried underneath. #winning

Interesting.

What policies precisely do you have in mind? The ones that are expected to promote almost 5% growth this year? Or the ones that have already resulted in record low unemployed for minority workers?

Maybe it's the budget policies? Weird, though, if that's the case, that you had laryngitis for 96 whole months.

We talked about the dangers of drinking and watching Shawn Hannity, if you aren't careful the talking points start to make sense. But if you work on your punctuation and grammar you could be Japhy's wingman with some practice.

That's not much of an answer, I'm afeared.

I'd ask you to specify the talking points in question, but I'm beginning to suspect that you'd rather deal in vague platitudes than specifics.

"expected to promote 5% GNP" could be attached to anything but the tax relief act for the top 1% is problematic.

Wow, that wasn't so hard to answer I guess huh? The divide between the haves and have nots adds to the misery quotient of there country? We could add immigration policies ( separating children and parents seems like misery), the policy of fomenting grievance politics and raising white supremacists to the level of some good people on both sides, cutting the social safety net, foreign trade wars, undermining our counterintelligence community just as the threat from Russia reaches a new high or low. It's a broad brush stroke sure, but then so is 5% growth and low unenmployment really. We both know how this story plays out. And making a laundry list of specifics just leads to dismissive rebuttals.

If I am wrong tell me why there is no recession coming and why it won't fall upon the middle and lower economic groups more heavily? By virtue of economics the rich always get through an economic crisis in better shape but this little bit of economic boost and pass through tax cuts just in time to build a nice nest egg going in is ever so conveniently timed isn't it?

We had a good run folks, but misery is slowly creeping up on us. It's part of a cycle now but instead of preparing let's put the pedal to the metal and hit the wall at full speed. But let's focus on the short lived maybe 5% economic growth and low unemployment before the fall. Maybe the rubes will remember that and we can blame somebody else for the fall. Good stuff, it worked before. Fox News will push the story line and the rubes will lap it up.

In my haste to reply so that you could not look upon me in disdain because I relinquished the intellectual high ground by not meeting the specificity depths plumbed by your 5% growth and low unemployment level of detail, I forgot to add environmental policy, education policy and systematic policy of destroying collective bargaining. Please forgive me.

Again, interesting that nasty case of extended laryngitis.

As for the "looming" recession...OF COURSE there's a looming recession. There's ALWAYS a looming recession. It's the nature of man's existence to suffer and the nature of the business cycle to move in a...uhh...cycle.

It's also interesting, given your advanced age, that your memory seems only to have begun on January 20, 2017.

When Mrs. Park puts you in a home, can I have your stuff?

Looming recessions seem to be preceded by factors that the Trump playbook is following. He enjoyed the Obama growth spurt and employment shrinkage. But now is ripe for the Trump Factors.
