doubt it happens. mack has the good life going with espn. and yes, he's well into his 60's now. suspect andre coleman will move into the press box.

Basically true. I've heard Snyder's holding the team hostage made Dimel leave.

Sounds likely but they may have to appoint someone to wipe the drool off his face during the games as he sways back and forth on the sidelines.

father figure? LOL

He's old enough to be their father's grandfather.

Unless you meant "youngsters" like 68 year old Tom Hayes or 60 year old John Fabris, then OK if you say so.

Well, if you use the context clues like the person above me saying that he won't leave until they guarantee Sean the job, you can probably figure out that I mean Bill is holding the team hostage until he gets what he wants.

He may very well be a father-figure to the youngsters, but I don't think Dana Dimel would consider him a father-figure. It also didn't sound like Dimel appreciated the way Bill is trying to force his will on the program.

Do you think Daddy's Boy Snyder would've gotten the job at UTEP had he applied?

LOSER: KANSAS STATE
Bill Snyder still appears to be clinging to the dream of passing the program on to his son. This has gone from selfish to sad to toxic, as the entire administration at Kansas State is ready for a change. But Snyder, 78, is still living in nepotism fantasyland that his son, Sean, is qualified to take over. That’s hurt the program, which is 20-16 the last three seasons and lacks an identity nationally outside of mediocrity and uncertainty. Every year Snyder stays and tries to bully the handoff to his son further tarnishes his legacy. This is the anti-Frank Beamer succession. (For example: With offensive coordinator Dana Dimel gone to take the UTEP job, what qualified offensive coordinator would want to work under these conditions?) It will be interesting to see if Kansas State administrators have the collective guts to engage with Snyder about his departure after Kansas State’s bowl game on Dec. 26. Snyder has had a great run, as his accomplishments can’t be overstated. But he’s completely unaware of how bad this whole situation looks or simply doesn’t seem to care.

Yahoo thinks pretty highly of what Bill is doing.

yahoo name is appropriately placed. however, i can understand why ku fan would want him gone.

Snyder has a (22-4) record against Kansas and has a winning record against each of the seven Jayhawks head coaches he has faced. The breakdown: 5-3 vs. Glen Mason, 5-0 against Terry Allen, 4-1 vs. Mark Mangino, 2-0 against Turner Gill, 2-0 vs. Charlie Weis, 1-0 against Clint Bowen and (3-0) vs. David Beaty. LJW Oct 2017

I'd rather get rid of the POS KStater running our athletic department.

Yeah, well I have a 1-0 record against my grandmother who just suffered a stroke and will be in a wheelchair the rest of her life.

That's the equivalent of overstating what coach old balls has done to KU in his tenure.

Nice edit, tm.

Maybe, if he was 26-0, Yahoo wouldn't be being so hard on him for holding KSU football hostage while he tries to get his son a job he hasn't earned.

the dude who wrote this piece was on finebaum's show last night. he's a bit of a shiz-stirrer, who defines his space by outrageous takes.

most everyone i know - beyond the age of 30 - hopes bill stays as long as he's competent. i've given the rationale for that many times.

this yahoo's take, on the other hand, is dimwitted and shows an exceptional lack of understanding about the man, state's football history and the fanbase.

Ah yes, someone says something you don't like or agree with, so he must be dimwitted.

You're on a KU board regularly trying to start "shiz" and your takes on KSU and Manhattan are semi-frequently outrageous or flat out delusional.

Seems like you described yourself...minus the fact that people actually pay him to write about football and be on their shows to talk football. Curious that no one pays for your opinion considering your qualifications.
