In my 50+ years I have learned only 3 undeniable truths

1. My wife is a really really patient person
2. Han solo shot first
3. Football is the meaning of life, in fact college football is the very reason for all life on this planet. The dinosaurs did not die out due to a meteor or climate change they are gone because T-Rex could not complete a forward pass, the only reason for the evolution of man to the top of the food chain is that we are the only species capable of running the triple option offense.

I have been a KU football fan since the mid 70s and I still hold Cromwell responsible for my many long years as a Rams fan as well.

but the current state of the program has broken my spirit and only an UNHOLY BEASTE such as Zenger could destroy something as pure as a love of football,
there have been many dark ages for KU football fans but never has it been so dark with so little hope of light.

Bad hire after bad hire after bad hire have left us with a WR coach and his JV staff that while absolutely giddy about the moral victory of only loosing by 3 scores are about to finish 3-33 and almost completely uncompetitive in three years.

and an AD who's a self proclaimed football guy here to fix the program and in 7 years has decimated it to a mid level FCS program and a new chancellor who has been with KU 24 years and has witnessed the destruction but still some how believes in the long term vision of the unholy beast and his minion Beaty.

I had lost all hope in the meaning of life and was ready to do the unthinkable and spend a saturday with the wife antiquing (whatever that is) but at the insistence of a friend I will be spending saturday in a near capacity memorial stadium watching 2 well coached teams competing for a conf championship my prediction Wyo 27 Fresno 24

I am hoping that watching well coached, competitive football in a stadium with actual fans will renew my spirit in humanity and the meaning of life at least until I get home and watch the recording of the Zenger-Beaty $hit show against O.U.

Don't smoke cigarettes, don't overeat. Get some regular exercise. Try to live long enough for the KU football program to turn around. This is my plan.

But right now there's no tunnel, no light, no hope.

You're all wrong on T-Rex. They could throw the ball fine. They couldn't catch anything for shi|t though! Alligator arms all day long!

Also, Opossums can run the triple option decently well. They're really good at fooling the D when they keep the ball as they hide it in that pouch they got.

Girod has not only been with KU for 24 years, but he's had tickets to KU football for more than 15 years too. Believe he's had a suite for 10 years. I think he knows the deal and what ultimately needs to be done and when.

Hilarious KMan. in particular at the end when picked up, he "played Oppossum". As far as Girod goes, there are 3 thoughts that go through my head right off the get go: If he has had a suite for 10 years, then: He must not attend the games or he goes to socialize and get promotions, donations and freebies or he is hosting male escorts. Just one mans opinion

Any proof he has actually ATTENDED games for 15 years? I know LOTS of people who buy season tickets every year (to keep Williams Fund points for better basketball seats) and go to 1-2 games a year, and don't even GIVE the other tickets away.

I think the vote of confidence is like it is with baseball managers, most recently seen by my Yankees and Joe Girardi. The polite thing to do is sound all onboard, then once you are out of earshot of that coach, you hire the hit man.

In an attempt to renew my love of college football that has been down as a result of the continued futility of the KU football program under the current leadership, I accepted an invitation to come and watch Wyo vs Fresno st. it was a well coached hard fought game in cold and very windy conditions and without their star QB Wyo. lost the defensive battle 13-7 though the crowd remained engaged the whole game.

As i was watching I thought about how programs like Wyo, Fresno, Iowa st, all of whom were down just a few years ago were able to rebuild is such a short time to field competitive teams.

While KU has talked about a commitment to Football and desire to build the right way with high character players other schools like Wyo,fresno,Isu and others have demonstrated this in action not talk, while KU was playing musical HC going from a hard ass to a nice guy and from a big name to a no name, other schools have demonstrated their commitment by hiring a proven HC who has shown the ability to assemble a solid staff that can identify, recruit and develop talent and create a game plan and system that adapts to the strengths of the talent available too put their teams in the best position to competes (apposed to desperate and foolish onside kicks that leave your team down 7 only 9 sec into a game)

I agree with KUs statements about building the program the right way with high character coaches and players though I do not believe that we have the proper staff in place to actually accomplish the job regardless of the time they will be given. but after renewing my spirit and enjoyment of college football here in Laramie I returned to the hotel excited to watch the recording of KU vs OU

I started the game prepared to give KU a new chance to show me they are actually building the right way I made it as far as the coin toss (high character they say, do things the right way they say) I have remained a KU football fan my whole life through many dark times and while I can be a fan of a poor team I can no longer be a fan of this classless staff and administration I will always love KU but this this administration and staff has lost me and all I can do is hope that change will happen before my love of KU turns to just pity for the remaining fans that still believe Zeneger - Beaty are the right people to rebuild the program

Yeah but poor sportsmanship can give your team a keen edge in competition. Look how OU struggled in the first quarter. And look at all those punts today.

OU only scoring 41 today. Very low score. This is a victory for KU.

And it all started with that intimidating non-handshake.
