"We know that in year three and year four we need to be more than competitive" says Kansas HC David Beaty (three seasons after the two remaining games in 2017).

"Beaty is now 3-31, fresh off a 42-27 loss at the hands of the Texas Longhorns that could have been a win if not for a series of coaching missteps." Campus newspaper Univ Daily Kansan quote from the editorial attachment above.

After nine seconds, Kansas football staff had advised an onside kickoff resulting in a easy one play TD for Texas at Texas. THAT is the magic for David Beaty.

It's cute that UDK thinks the students factor into this equation at all.

If they want changes to football, they will have to boycott basketball, and that is not happening.

Top donors and administrators at Kansas read the Kansan.

Back in the day, I covered politics for the Kansan. Nothing cute about it.

+1 from this poster. "The man Zenger hired to replace Weis? He’s actually been worse"

UDK editorial quote.

The donors know Zenger's reign has brought 0 nattys in basketball and the worst stretch of football in school history. They backed him to get an extension and raise from the outgoing chancellor. What does that tell you?

"But without six Texas turnovers in 2016, Kansas would be going on three years without an FBS win. And while Weis undoubtedly left the football roster and the team’s culture a mess, that is an unacceptable lack of progress." UDK editorial quote

Girod has done nothing but compliment Zenger's excellence. I think he's looking forward to the road trips in the Mountain West.

The donors can't be happy with the state of football. I have feeling they would like to get rid of both Zenger and Beaty. However with the renovation process started and with the turnover of coaches, not to mention apathy for the program right now I think they don't want to do anything. That is not an endorsement of Beaty. They just don't want to mess with a change right now.

Booth has pledged 50 million to the Zenger regime. That's not something an unhappy person does.

Source for your ridiculous statement?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_G._Booth

Reading 101 says its to help with facility renovation. Not "to the Zenger regime". Do better.

"to the Zenger regime" isn't quite what I read or heard. For stadium renovations...

Naming rights are assumed to go along with that money. If Zenger's gone, any promises made related to Zenger go away too.

So you are stating without any sources of course, that Booth's $50M money donation is tied directly "to the Zenger regime"? He gave $300M to University of Chicago Business School earlier. Did he just give it to someone there as well? LOL

So if we fire Zenger, all promises to Beaty of contract extension and automatic $100K raises will be no longer be owed by the University as their representative as well?

Booth pledged 50 million to the project not Zenger. Just because he believes in the project doesn't mean he believes in Zenger.

Not this

I prefer Casey isn’t the sharpest tool in the tool box. To claim Zenger would screw with the Booth donation if he was shitcanned, would be a career ender for him in athletics. Lol

They should do the firing on Zenger’s driveway.

He probably reads his texts while relaxing there. “You’re fired” is better than polishing a turd daily. And he gave himself several millions to wipe himself with.

How soon does he take a shiit or get off the can ?
