oops, gag order removed, informant better watch his back, have body guards

The informant's lawyer, Victoria Toensing, told The Hill on Wednesday that the FBI told her it is releasing her client from his nondisclosure agreement so he can discuss his work "uncovering the Russian nuclear bribery case and the efforts he witnessed by Moscow to gain influence with (former President Bill Clinton and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton) in hopes of winning favorable uranium decisions from the Obama administration."

I forget, remind me how much uranium has been exported from the US to Russia that was mined in Wyoming now that Rosatom owns controlling interest in Uranium One? What country does the largest percentage of uranium used in US nuclear reactors get imported from? Why do the Germans now build BMWs for US consumers in the US?

The ability of the right-wing noise machine to manufacture phony conspiracies and lather the base into constant outrage is truly amazing.

Goebbels would be envious.

Where the hell you get all this false information?

Do you deliberately ignore all sources of news other than GOP propaganda merchants?

Here is--verbatim--what Trump accused Hillary of doing:

Hillary Clinton gave Russia 20 percent of the uranium in our country. You know what uranium is, right? It’s this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.

But nobody talks about that. I did not do anything for Russia. I've done nothing for Russia. Hillary Clinton gave them 20 percent of our uranium
.

Here are the facts:

That statement, which Trump first made on the campaign trail, is mostly false.

. Between 2009 and 2013, Russia's atomic energy agency, Rosatom, purchased a majority stake in a Canadian company called Uranium One, The Toronto-based firm's mining assets in Wyoming, Utah and elsewhere in the United States account for about 20 percent of U.S. uranium production capacity.

20 percent of uranium capacity is different from 20 percent of existing uranium. Moreover, the State Department was one of nine government agencies that had to sign off on the deals. Other federal and state regulators also had to approve them. And none of the uranium is allowed to leave the United States

Clinton did not represent the State Department on the panel of agency officials who approve deals such as the Uranium One transaction.

The national security question raised by the transaction at the time centered on whether it would make the United States reliant on foreign sources of uranium, not on the proliferation of nuclear weapons,.In fact, the United States and Russia had exchanged enriched and raw uranium for years before Barack Obama even became president.

.Since Russia doesn’t have the legal right to export uranium out of the US, its main goal was likely to gain access to the company’s uranium assets in Kazakhstan.

Crucially, the main national security concern was NOT about nuclear weapons proliferation, as Trump suggests, but actually ensuring the US doesn’t have to depend too much on uranium sources from abroad, as the US only makes about 20 percent of the uranium it needs. An advantage in making nuclear weapons wasn’t the main issue because, the United States and Russia had for years cooperated on that front, with Russia sending enriched fuel from decommissioned warheads to be used in American nuclear power plants in return for raw uranium.

The State Department was one of nine federal agencies and a number of additional independent federal and state regulators that signed off on the deal
.
President Obama, not Secretary Clinton, was the only person who could’ve vetoed the deal.

Checkmate imzcount.

Please get some FACTS before making all these wild, thorough debunked (2015 and again in 2017) allegations
..

QUID PRO QUO FOR DONATIONS TO CLINTON FOUNDATION?

The claim, which Trump first made on the campaign trail last year--verbatim--

Hillary Clinton's state department approved the transfer of 20% of America’s uranium holdings to Russia, while nine investors in the deal funneled $145 million to the Clinton Foundation"--Donald Trump 11/1/2017.

Complete nonsense:

Almost ALL the Clinton Foundation donations occurred well before Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential bid, before she could have known she would become secretary of state.

Of the $145 million allegedly contributed to the Clinton Foundation by Uranium One investors, the lion’s share — $131.3 million — came from a single donor, Frank Giustra, the company’s Canadian founder. But Giustra sold off his entire stake in the company in 2007, three years before the Russia deal.

So, imzcount, before you come on here parroting the right-wing talking points, please accumulate some FACTS first.

Now---go back to sleeeep...

They didn't buy "a 20% stake in the U.S.A. uranium". They bought 100% of Uranium One. No one wanted the "U.S.A. uranium", mining in US is expensive and the uranium is low grade. Rosatom bought Uranium One to get the Kazakhstan uranium mines that Uranium One owned. The US nuclear energy industry buys their uranium from Kazakhstan because it is cheap to do dirty business in Kazakhstan. The US has no control over whether or not a Canadian company like Uranium One sells their Kazakh mines to Rosatom. The US mining rights were incidental to the deal. If the State Dept, NRC or the rest of the agencies that would have had to try to stop the sale of Uranium One were to intervene, the sale would have just been for the profitable mining operations instead of stock. Those were the assets Rosatom wanted and no US "letting" was needed for that. The US nuclear industry buys most of their uranium supply from Russia and Kazakhstan. You do know that even if Rosatom wanted to mine uranium in the US they can't ship it out of the US right? So even if they bought mining rights to almost 20% of US uranium reserves, it is still US uranium, not Russia's. Now if you want to discuss whether or not Russian oligarch were trying to buy favor with Clinton by giving money to the Clinton Foundation that is a legitimate question. Uranium One is a dumber conspiracy theory than Benghazi. Have you gotten your questions answered about Pizzagate yet?

Thanks guys for giving me the skinny on the uranium story. Much appreciated!

So much “noise” from the news media from BOTH sides it is difficult separating the wheat from the chaff.

The right-wing noise machine has no monopoly on manufacturing phony or exaggerated conspiracies, and you are delusional to think so.
The left wing media, namely CNN and MSNBC are notorious for making Trump appear worse than he is with phony headlines such as "Trump makes Goldstar mother cry", or "Trump has worst week ever", or "Trump hates immigrants", and Trump's approval rating keeps on dropping". The news media has made it seem like he hates ALL immigrants, both legal and illegal, good grief!! Then you have the polls from last June in 2016 that had Hillary with a 97% chance of winning the presidency!!! lol
The voters cannot be fooled, as Hillary had believed.
