If the big donors aren't happy with the product we have on the field then that won't help to raise $300 million for the renovation. I think Zenger is going to find out real quick if he can raise the money.

Unfortunately, that's not true. KU Athletics makes plenty of money to spend $350M on a football stadium and other upgrades if it really wants to.

Getting $290M in loans for a company with a worthy credit rating and $100M in revenue is not ideal, but it wouldn't be unheard of--especially with the new $191M over 14 year contract that Adidas just sent our way. Plus we got the $50M from Booth and the $10M from Horesji.

That maybe true. But no banker in their right mind is going to lend KU $350 million gambling on a revenue stream that has been steadily declining for a decade. if the grid iron ship isn't righted, football is going to completely die or soon be CUSA or worse. The monies from Booth and Horesji are not cash in the bank yet either, only "pledges". Lastly, if it were a done deal, why is "Z" begging the likes of me for a contribution? Which I refuse to give!

Yeah I thought Zenger wanted a campaign of small donations by a lot of people?

I

I'd chip in a few bucks tomorrow if the plan was to remove some seats,(say 35k) so we can claim a sellout sometime again in the next three years! laugh BUT! They would need to let me bring my Jayhawk logoed seatback back in the stadium once again...they do that, and I'll leave my .45 auto at home!

The D didn't give up 65 pts. either. Bender definitely didn't help with is momentum stopping pick.

Literally you are correct, D didn't give up 65 pts., but rather TT earned their points with a clear strategy going into the game backed by players who knew their roles. Taught by their staff in a short time period (spring practices). Our slow starts are on the staff for not being good teachers about the entirety of a college ball game.

Yeah, all that momentum we had. The game was over at 21-0.

No turnover ever "helps," so I'm not sure why Bender is singled out.

I seem to recall it being 21-7. The D had just made two stops, one giving our O the ball on the TT 30. Of course if you refuse to see that it's not just the D, then you can pick and choose what you thought you saw. I know, in your mind, the Harrel fumble for the TT td. and the Bender pick, giving TT the ball on our 20, were Bowen's fault. Moose's shanked punt, also CBs fault.

If you can't spell Moose correctly, get off the board!

I would never blame anything on the beloved Clint Bowen. He's the face of the current KU football era. How could he be at fault?

Are there any facts to back up your unsupported statements?

Kmanblue says If I had to guess, I'd put it at 5 to 1 that coach Beaty is here at least through the end of 2018.

Ok, I'll take that bet. My 100.00 VS your 500. Contact KUhawkhead or BeenaHawk and when they call me to tell me they received your 500.00, I'll send my 100.00. They are honest people and they will hold it. I'll also pay them 50.00 to do so. Your on! IB

I think the $10M from Horesji is going toward a new Volleyball facility. During the V-Ball match between KU and Texas the mentioned KU will be playing in a new or greatly upgraded facility next year.

Yeah, the Horejsi family specifically donated that $10 million to go towards tearing down and rebuilding the current volleyball facility.

But, both the cost of the volleyball facility and the donation were both lumped in with the total $350 million upgrades and total donations for those upgrades. It's just that the football stadium cost makes up the vast bulk of that figure around $300 million.

They're also upgrading the baseball stadium in that total cost number.
