There are some new walk ons Miles Fallin QB, Tom Barrett S, Nick Caudle S, Jelani Arnold DE, Dai Coye Haley DT. They have Sam Burt listed on OL but I thought he was supposed to play at DE. People had questions about Andru Tovi's weight and he is listed at 310.

There are a couple RBs/FBs that I wasn't familiar with.

Kezelee Flomo
Caperton Humphrey
Sam Schroeder

Sam Burt was talked about as a DE/DT or an OL by Beaty. At the season ticket holder event on signing day, I believe he mentioned that Yenser really liked his footwork.

Crazy to see those 20ish OL though.

Dai Coye Haley could be a guy that a major part of the DL in the years to come. I think he's from Atchison, but he's a big, big dude that has some quickness.

He was getting attention from a couple D1 schools until he broke his ankle 4 games into his senior season.

Worth the gamble as a walk-on.

Link? I see a Kansas offer on ESPN profile. Nothing else.

Attention from Division 1 schools like Dgless mentioned, and Kman posted the link as well as his story in the 2018 Recruiting page just a few weeks ago.

The reason why you don't say the schools listed is obvious.

Burt is 240 which looks more like a DE. He probably redshirts this season so it does not matter where he is listed for now. They listed Chris Hughes as a DT for his RS year and now he is back to OL.

I am glad to see Beaty build up the DT position with some local walk on players like he did with the OL.

Dai Coye is my sleeper right now out of the walkons with maybe Boatner right behind him.

Dai Coye's recruitment got derailed by his injury during his Senior year. That fell in KU's favor in terms of picking up a guy like him as a preferred walkon IMHO. I won't be surprised if he earns a scholarship before he's done. His injury may turn out to be a blessing in disguise for him with the opportunity he's now got at KU.

Fallin is 6'5" 210 and he looks like he has decent speed on his HUDL video. His 40 time is 4.88 so not bad for a TE. After some work on his speed and in the weight room, I wonder if Beaty plans to move him to TE?

I'm curious why we decided Boatner was a linebacker. He seemed like a good fit at fullback.

Will be hopeful that he can add (or if he has) the speed to be a special teamer and eventually a linebacker in the Big 12.

I like the Hudl on Nick Caudle. He just looks too small to be a safety at the big 12 level right now. Looks like he has some good instincts at safety though.

I'm not sure Miles has the frame to add a lot more weight. Also not sure if he's given up on playing QB yet either. If things don't work out to his or the coaches liking at QB, I could see him maybe turned into a possession or slot WR more so than a TE. Obviously it's way early still with him and you could turn out to be right in that he'll add enough weight for them to look at him as a TE at some time.

He's a good all around athlete and I think he's got the flexibility to switch positions though if QB doesn't work out.

And on a side note about 40 times, I think it should be noted with all of the recruiting websites whether the listed 40 time is hand held or electronically timed as well as when was it taken and if it was merely self reported without any further verification. A simple (H) or (E) next to it could tell if it's handheld or electronic and then a date next to that and no date would indicate if it's merely self reported. Because an electronic time of 4.88 isn't too bad and is plenty fast enough to play TE, but a handheld 4.88 is too slow as they're off(virtually always on the fast side) by as much as .20 of a second or even a little bit more.
