I won't disagree with any assessment this time giving Self his due. Talent trumps all naysayers, and coaching talent wins games. I just don't know where this rates in terms of talent. We all know that Self can coach, but he has often had tremendous talent to coach.

21st century is correct, but the one thing that translates from decade to decade is talent. You win with talent and heart. I think we just got some rent-a- players that will have very little heart and our results will remain similar to what they have been.

Coach got lazy about recruiting real talent. Popovich done after his Spurs are eliminated. Self to San Antonio. 7 transfer players with 3 not able to play next season. This is a bunch of weird as s bool hockey. Something is fishy and it smells...smells bad.

And to hell with Self being under too much pressure to win it all. At Kansas thats the goal every year. I don't like this at all. Mizzou is pulling better recruits in than Self is for next season. Unacceptable.

I hope that you are just getting a bit over anxious, but only time will tell.

Minus being pals with the spurs gm, why exactly does HCBS deserve the coaching chair of the best franchise in the nba? Why would the spurs give their job to a college coach that ain't coached one minute in the league? Why?

It would not surprise me if HCBS decided to take his shot in the nba. But it ain't gonna be with the best franchise in the leaugue.

I don't know about stinking it up. We still have a lot of (projected) talent with Graham, Vick, Newman, Cunliffe, Udoka, Preston, Garrett...Lightfoot and Coleby too. If Udoka and Preston live close to the hype, we should be in the running for our 14th straight and another sweet 16 or elite 8 flop.

Don't know enough about TJ Jr, and the other 3 sitting out won't help this year (barring Moore getting some kind of waiver).

I know Self has previously suggested that the scholarship situation works itself out...but we're at our limit or over by one if Svi is back.

Lightfeet will get better every year. He will be a fine 4 year player for us.

If The Svi comes back we will find a scholarship for him. At someone else's expense.

I was encouraged by Tait's article on the KU website. I do believe that Self knows what he is doing and that he is doing what he believes is best for our Hawks. He might go to the NBA some day, but if so, that's down the road aways. Not sure that he would enjoy coaching in the NBA as it is entirely a different type of job.Several college coaches have dipped their toe into the NBA and walked away.

The one scenario the Tait'er pondered that I did not agree with was DC getting his degree and grad transferring this summer. I would rather have DC next year than the unknown porn stache.

I think DC will give us some good minutes and we'll have him for two more years.

Isn't DC going to be a senior next season?

I could be wrong, but I think he played one year at MS, laid out a year here, played last year, giving him two more years of eligibility. I haven't verified that so maybe someone else can.

I was wrong, he played two years at MS, so one year left. I still prefer him, I think he will fit in well next year and produce for us.He knows the system and was coming on strong the last few games.

Probation hammer coming down on KU next year. Thats why Self went the transfer route. He might bail for the NBA. Missouri has a better recruiting class so far. Jayhawks are finito.

What is the underlying reason for probation?
