You should continue duking it out with Jim
West. It's what you do best, asshat.

Jim West saves Selma Hayek from the big metal spider. I'm a fan.

Plus, he comes up with his own insults.

Side note. I'm truly curious what kind of BS has to be posted before our moderators stop jerking off and moderate even a single thread.

Your comments should be moderated dude. This is supposedly a non-unicorn thread.

I started this thread to discuss Memorial Stadium renovations. Like usual, with you around, it got off course.

Do you have anything non-unicorn to add to the discussion about Memorial Stadium?

The three year timeframe is the best course over five. If we don't win soon, and I hear five years from Beaty's mouth to get a competitive team again, the stadium will help placate the fans for the lean years ahead. That's my two cents.

But if the guy can't coach, it isn't going to help him.

Ugh.

"Architect renderings of the project initially were expected to be unveiled sometime in September. But though a September reveal still remains in play, it’s now possible the designs might not reach the public eye until October, a KU official told the Journal-World."

I am still excited about this. Do they do it in 2 or 3 phases? I think they'll knock out the sides in one phase and then the end zone seating on another phase. I remember Texas A&M knocking theirs out in a fairly short time (2 years maybe) and their stadium seats 100,000+ with multiple tiers.

Do they square off the north end zone? What do they do with the south end zone and adding a tunnel from locker room to field? All sorts of questions, and I couldn't be more pumped to see the results.

I looked at the comments on the story and there were a lot of "Blow it up and start over" which makes no sense to me. Nothing would beat Memorial on campus and in it's original shell at the bottom of the hill.

Ultimately the coach is at the stadium on game days to try and win games and attract fan base. The stadium is probably a microcosm of the overall program. Enough said.

I saw this about a week ago but Keegan wrote an article on it. http://www2.kusports.com/weblogs/keegan-...ium-exterior-d/

One of the many things I like about Beaty is his willingness to show respect for the past. The locker room mentions past players, as do the meeting rooms and now the exterior of Memorial.
