Looks like his JUCO transfer QB Josh Allen is coming back for another great year for Coach Bohl. He could be #1 pick in next year's NFL draft. We could have been THAT team in the BG12 by now only if...

But we hired the Texas HS HC wizard. Damnit.

Read the feature story in Sunday's Denver Post detailing the QB story. We should have hired THAT guy as our coach. Turnaround specialist.

Saban would've been a better hire.

Neither showed interest in the KU job.

LOL Sure, Saban. Bohl was looking at the time to move on. His salary would have been more substantial at the time however than our current HC. Not quite CW level tho.

Bohl was looking to move on based on what?

He was 3-2 with Wyoming in his first year when Weis was fired.

Prior to accepting Wyoming HC position, he was available to Kansas. I discussed then that we (Kansas) should have acted.

So, in this hypothetical discussion that potentially rewrites history, when does he start at Kansas?

If he had started at KU before Beaty, what kind of "butterfly effects" would happen in the rest of the world?

But you said in your OP that Kansas instead chose Beaty. You confuse me on a daily basis.

Obviously, Weis was not the coach he once was (at ND early), posters were already giving out names available BEFORE the last half year for Scooterman. We could have gotten Bohl at Kansas AT THAT TIME. If that is cornfusing, you need to stop dipping so much snuff!!

He turned it in his following year (2016) AT WYOMING. Clearly, HE CAN COACH.

All kinds of Coach of the Year awards. Not in Pop Warner league either.

Before the 2014 season, as clearly Weis had zero AD support.

DJT would still be a minor NY figure, not POTUS...

"Kansas isn't expected to make any real movement on their coaching search until sometime in November but that doesn't stop fans and media speculating on who could be candidates for the opening. One name that is being brought up as a possibility is Wyoming's first year head coach Craig Bohl.

The likelihood of Bohl leaving Laramie, Wyoming, for Lawrence, Kansas, is not very high to start with but none the less when people look at possible candidates and who may be perfect fits for the job, Bohl's name is right there at the very top."

So why, exactly, does Craig Bohl show interest in KU after firing two coaches in four years? Especially with the somewhat low tier money, the full-blown rebuild we needed, and a somewhat clueless AD?

Much like KSU without Snyder, KU was/is seen as a place where you go to end your career and not really in a good way.

This link is from after Weis was fired and after Bohl was hired at Wyoming.
