40-0 would be awesome, don't see it happening, but would be nice. Next year we won't have battle tested leaders. If we do lose it will be early, but then I expect to win many in a row. Once conference season starts and we have a feel for who can do what.

Every coach takes different teams you troll

Self has taken how many different teams to the Final 4........(1) So not every coach takes several teams to the Final 4. Bob Knight took one, Indiana-Coach K has Duke, Wooden had UCLA and the list could go on. You asked the question about Pitino. Pitino has taken three different teams to the Final 4. Won two National titles with different programs on the court. Purely looking at his numbers, you tell me if he is a great coach or not?

Thanks for the correction. I've fixed it. I had forgotten about that year for K. When I looked at the record I missed that. I like the fixed record much better. Don't care for K but I have to admit that he's done quite a job of coaching at Duke.

I remember that you've said '86 was your first year. That means you missed suffering through, what I call, the "Up and Down Years" of Harp and Owens. Both were good coaches and had some really good teams. But they also had some big downer years. Their records kind of look like a stock market chart that really went up and down.

86 was my first Final 4 as a KU fan. Starting watching and rooting for KU when Brown got here. Kelly Knight, Carl Henry, ETC. I don't know what your point is with Harp and Owens?
Since Brown got here, we have been a model of consistency as a program.

Although Coach K was still technically their coach, he petitioned the NCAA to get those losses removed from his record. They removed them, of course.

Your last line is exactly my point. Aside from the Naismith years the Harp/Owen years were the worst years of KU basketball. They had some really good teams but in between those teams were some years that were so so and some years really bad. Overall they had winning records but did have some really up and down years. Naismith in 9 years had 7 losing seasons. Hamilton in 10 years had 2 losing seasons, Allen in 39 years had 2 losing season, Harp in 8 years had 2 losing seasons and Owens in 19 had 4 losing seasons. In the 35 years since we've had no losing seasons, not even close to it. I became a fan during the tail end of Allen's years. As a Jayhawk fan, my only losing seasons experienced in 66 years were under Harp and Owens, a total of 6 in my first 31 years as a fan. From time to time when our fans begin to moan and groan about how bad our Hawks are doing I think about the Harp and Owen's years. I think, "You don't know what bad is!" I will say that compared to other schools that wasn't really bad. But compare that to the past 35 years. Because of the past 35 years of great consistency, our fans have become really spoiled. No other program has had the consistency that we've had during the past 35 years. Should we have won more NCAA championships? Probably so, but we've been at or towards the top an awful lot during these years, actually great years. Every fan who's jumped on board since Larry Brown came has experienced an awful lot of good basketball and no losing seasons, not even close to it! That's my point!

If you mean coaches going to FF for different SCHOOLS, say it correctly. Each year coaches have different teams with different players troll.

Michhawk has this post above on auto-recall every 3 months.

He must find it funny. Ironically, he calls himself "a cagey veteran". Then talks about baboons "in a cage". Now THAT'S funny...

Patina isn't near as good or ethical as a Self program.
