I saw a great documentary on Palladia last night about KANSAS(The rock band). I wonder how many, if any, of you remember them back in the day when they were starting out in Topeka? Anybody see them in a small bar in Topeka, or anywhere else in the area? Frat parties at KU? Anybody see them at the Opera House in Topeka?

Any KANSAS stories?

I remember them when they were called White Clover and The Reasons Why..rival Topeka bands in the day that merged....how's that sucka. Battle of the bands in front of Oliver Hall. Some nice skank Kansas girls easy for the picking resided in Oliver. Good times.

I too saw the Kansas doc. VERY cool. I've always liked their music. Lots of great nuggets in the doc...how the 1st record back photo came about, the very loyal record exec who kept funding them, that Queen was a fan of the band, how their 2 biggest hits came about, etc.

Universally, the best rock n' roll band to come out of Kansas?
