Dr. Sheahon Zenger

Please except my official report after a great deal of research and analysis for your consideration on behalf of the fellow alumni from www.kusports.com.

1. Mike Bobo - Georgia Offensive Coordinator -2013 Offensive Coordinator of the Year.

2. Jim McElwain - Colorado State Head Coach

3. Jim Chaney- Arkansas Offensive Coordinator. Offensive Coordinator for Drew Brees at Purdue.

4. Kyle Whittingham- Utah Head Coach

5. Tim DeRuyter- Fresno State Head Coach

6. Mike Bloomgren- Stanford Offensive Coordinator

7. Ed Warriner- Ohio State Run & Line Coach

If you care about KU football, send your e-mail of your desired KU Football coach and then copy and post your email statement in this thread. If you fail to truly send an e-mail and post it here and now as written document as being a non-fair-weather fan, your alias profile will be absent. Let see how dedicated some KU fans truly are and if they can be brilliant in lobbying.

You have to be the first one bold enough to ask, if you want her to go to the dance with you, or get stuck with the ugly duckling.

Should we also send one to BGL? Perhaps saying thanks for signing off on firing Mangino and hiring Turner Gill, only to then fire Turner Gill and then hire Charlie Weis, only to fire Charlie Weis....

Maybe it would be better if someone from the KUSports.com boards requested to be put on the search committee. Someone to prevent the administration from burning the program to the ground?

Dear BGL,

You are awesome. I'm sure!

Could you please see that we hire the next football coach based on his resume? And not on...other stuff?

Thanks so much,

A. Fan

Already sent one to a few insiders regarding future donations to WEF. I think I will funnel it through these people that are in the decision making/influencing circles, I am certainly not and I don't believe my e-mail will be taken seriously.

Of course my preference is Butch Davis, turned around Miami and UNC. Oklahoma guy, familiar with Texas and OK recruiting as well as FL. He was cleared of all wrong doing at UNC as the bogus class was set up by the academic department.

Down side is his age - 62.

And he has been out of the game for a couple years. Although I do like him as a coach, and that is who I wanted to replace Gill. I wouldn't be upset if he got the job, but I don't think it will happen.

Well my personal preference would be anyone who has not been on board with Chuckles or Gill these last several years. Honestly, I would give it to LTrain. He's on the money and I agree with a lot of what he says. He seems like a clear thinker and sounds like he doesn't pull his punches. That or Beenahawk or KUHawkhead. They've all had good head coaching suggestions. I've heard a lot of good candidate names mentioned here. Just no more rolling the dice with some unknown Cinderella from out of nowhere or another used cars saleman. We've had enough bullshit and incompetence these last 5 years to last a lifetime for Jayhawk Nation!

After KU gets blown out today by OU, KU football fans might want to watch the Arizona-Utah game. Kyle Whittingham would be a great hired for Kansas

Tell me he doesn't 'look" like a good football coach who couldn't get KU back on track.

OK, a little Googling later to compare Utah and Kanas Football programs;

Utah
All-time record 628–435–31 (.588)
Postseason bowl record 13–4 (.765)
Claimed national titles 0
Conference titles 24
Consensus All-Americans 4
Once appearance in the Sugar Bowl and Fiesta Bowl

Kansas
All-time record 579–597–58 (.493)
Postseason bowl record 6–6 (.500)
Conference titles 8
Consensus All-Americans 5
Three appearance in the Orange Bowl

Very close programs, but KU having played against higher quality conference of Oklahoma and Nebraska, explaining more losses, for decades would make it more prestigious in my opinion.

I would gladly be a Board member. I can assure the Board would not be bored with me on it.

Sh*t would get done and get done in a timely manner with long term success in the fold.

This isn't rocket science.

It's a dynamic vetting process of qualified candidates and selecting the one who most favorably offers the foresight, action plan and willpower to execute the mutual objectives toward a common goal.

Utah, Utah St., and BYU all compete for the same talent in Utah. Kansas pretty much screws itself over by losing and K-State does the JUCO thing so that would leave instate recruiting all to KU. Much easier to make a employer change with more money and recruiting options with Texas pipeline also opening up and not closing the Utah-California connection.

i recall Namo? had a great idea of using the four year players currently recruited exclusively. I know, I know it's not true. BUT if you believe your naive understanding of the vet committee search I have some swampland in Kansas for sale. Our football program has no real support for improving the football recruiting or situation. I have more confidence in turning it all over to Tom Osborne to select the next turkey.

Quality Jobs available at Michigan and Nebraska. I am thinking KU is going to get the left overs as we aren't picked first and have to take what coaches are left.

I say, pay top dollar to fix the program and when that coach moves on, thank him for helping turnaround the program and will see about the current coordinator or the next hypes head coach that could then be interested in "risking" their career if they fail at KU.

we are not looking at the same candidates that Mich is and Neb was so the KU will get left overs doesn't quite fit

after going off the board on his last hire Z seems pressured into be sticking to coaches with KU ties during the MM era

which would be fine, if we were still in a 12 team B12 and in a north div at a time when KSU and NEB were both down due to poor hires in Prince,Calahan and we could play a schedule were we didn't play the powers in the south and not even play a single game against a top 25 team until the last game of the season (which we lost by the way) but those days are gone

trying to to find the best available coach to rebuild the program seems more important to me than trying to placate the fan base with a nostalgic hire which is what seems to be the plan in place

For the statisticians and math guys out there, Mike Bobo offense only scored 500 points in 12 games, which is an average of 41.67 points per game.

Even with Intern B's defense giving up 30 points a game, KU would probable be Orange Bowl bound if he was coaching at Kansas.

If we're looking for nostalgic hires....go get the guy who knew how to compete and complete the circle. Ames isn't that far away.

CSU HC Mike Bobo is in a good/great spot. AD is getting the $$$ together to build a campus football stadium in Ft Collins. He was a great choice for a school on the uptick in football.

We have an improved walk-on program. Get excited.

I've stated before I was not a happy person when Beaty was hired but he's our coach. So far he's done all the right things so I'm going to be cautiously optimistic about the team. Next fall will be brutal but I'm starting to feel this guy will succeed. Feel free to continue to be angry over something you have no control over or you can decide to live a somewhat happy life and get behind Beaty. If he fails the good news is we'll have a new AD picking the next coach.

My life choices are to be realistic, not at all angry. I have said this before, in Beaty we trust.

Your snarky comments still show some deep seated anger. The comment about our walk-on program.

Anyway, it doesn't matter to me so I won't mention it ever again.

See my edit above. I made it cheerier for posters who like cheery stuff.

Kyle Whittingham's Utah team looking like the game is won against Oregon at the half.

Beaty might be win-less this season. If this doesn't get KU football fans to e-mail the Chancellor an Athletic Director then nothing will and my earlier thread comments stands.

Seems to be a turn around specialist in Utah. I'm with Max we need to remove AD to get a real turn around staff.

You're going to fire a guy after 3 games? Yeah go ahead and do that and see if anyone wants the job then. Like I said before, Maximum and Ko ku for cocoa puffs don't have a clue about KU football.

Play nice and I will also. The latest hire of DB is Z's last one for football. Sink or swim time.

The wrong decision was made in hiring. I'd fire after the 1st game as I made a public record to the KU AD after Turner Gill 1st loss.

Mike Leach looks pretty good if a booster will open it's pocket book. Probably need some intelligent monetary donation talk to the chancellor. If your willing to give a coach 100% more on his ROI (Return on Income), then they will come. Utah coach can be had for a price!

"Build it, and they will come." Field of Dreams

Leach isn't going to come to a school where football is an afterthought to basketball.

Leach would because:

1. Easy recruiting in Texas
2. Standard of Living and twice the dollars bills
3. Warmer climate in the winter
4. A chance to get back at Texas Tech yearly
5. A better chance to get on David Letterman's top 10 if he was still on the air.
6. Bill Self as plenty of trophies along with an Orange Bowl trophy to persuade over what Washington State has
7. I just think so...
8. Higher quality of life with MLB, NFL, Sporting Kansas City is an American professional soccer club, and Kauffman Foundation Institutions, and Major concert arenas
9. All the cheap steaks you can eat
10. KU girls are pretty just ask Larry Eustachy

Well wishful thinking. KU isn't going to hire another Mark Mangino.

I purpose KU does then hire THE Mark Mangino and not "another Mark Mangino."
