7/26 - Shields vs Quintana
7/27 - Davis vs Sale (God help us)
7/28 - Chen vs Santiago

Lines up well for the Royals. Which is bad news for those of you who are pulling for the Sox this weekend.

If the Royals sweep and the Tigers lose two of three (conceivable; no Verlander, facing Hamels and Lee), AND Miguel Cabrera looks like damaged goods...maybe. Maybe.

They went 10-10 in that 20 games vs good/great teams. This road trip should....SHOULD be easy. I think above .500 ball is attainable from this team now.

They will win 3 more games before the deadline and proceed to fall into a 5-10 stretch after or something stupid.

7-2 in the last nine games. Only gained one game on Detroit. Sad face. Nice to see the Royals playing good ball anyway.

Great defense last night again. I know Sale is tough, but it leaves no margin for error when we can't get more than 1 run. Davis pitched as good as I've seen him pitch. The only downside last night was having to put up with the White Sox broadcast. Hawk is tough to listen to for 9 innings.

Not looking like the Tigers are going to relinquish the division lead here anytime soon. The Indians & Royals keep winning but can't gain any ground. Miguel homers in his first AB back who's surprised?

And yet you still can't draw 25,000 fans at home on a Saturday night vs Texas.

Outdrawn by the Royals playing a last place team ON THE ROAD..... like you said. What a fan base.

BTW since the All Star Break the AL Central sans the White Sox is absolutely on fire. Detroit, KC, and Twinkies are 7-3 and The Tribe is 6-4. By far the hottest division in baseball all the sudden. Rays and Dodgers are red hot but nobody below them in their divisions are doing squat.

First sweep of the WSox on the road since 99. Very Nice. Now if only Detroit and Cleveland would stop winning at the same pace as the Royals.

AL Central's 1, 2, and 3 teams are absolutely white hot since the All Star break.

Funny how that's the only thing bad you guys can say about the Indians.
It doesn't look like it has any effect the team though - best home record in the division at 33-19.

Other than their complete mediocrity on a yearly basis, the fact that they haven't won a series in longer than the Royals, and the fact that they are based in an awful city.

I dont know if there are many or any. But the centerfielder of the Blue Jays made one of the most incredible catches I ever seen lately. It was in MLB Networks Top 10 Plays of the month. Cain's body plant into the centerfield wall in Chitown should have made Top 10 also.

I saw that to, crazy. That game saver that Heyward had last week was awesome to.

Just not many guys that cover as much ground as Cain can. He just glides out there.

I would expect 91-71 to be good for the playoffs.

But that's a tough road. You basically have to sweep more series than you lose (and you cannot get swept).

Cain makes hard plays look really easy. He is a perfect CF in spacious Kauffman. He can run, throws better than Dyson, and has really good awareness around the warning track and wall areas. His bat is still working, but keep in mind, he has only played baseball since his junior year of HS, which was only about 10 years ago.

I think I just saw as well, that Cain will not be a free agent until 2018. Looking forward to 5 more years with Cain roaming CF for KC.

Trout is good obviously. But he was kicking the ball around a bunch in their game yesterday.

Bourn is not better than Cain.
