Yeah, he looks like he has really made some strides. A big homer last night was good to see and his BA is up around .280 now. I'd love to see him go on a monster, confidence-boosting tear at some point.

Also, as the optimistic part of me has liked to mention lately, Moose is riding a 5-game multi-hit streak, the longest in the majors currently.

He's been hitting well since George Brett was named hitting coach

The overall #'s don't show it (because it's such a flawed lineup), but Brett certainly seems to have gotten through to Hosmer and Moustakas.

I was reading an article the other day — where Hosmer gives major credit to his brother as well as George Brett and another hitting coach, for helping fix his approach at the plate

Well not that it matters. But I am pissed off that I pay DirecTV 39 bucks more a month for the MLB package and the damm Royals game is blacked out. WTF...aaarrrrrgghhhhh

My brothers who live in Nashville have the MLB package and they get all the KC games. So I'm guessing the blackout is a regional thing?

They only show the games on Fox KC here. If its on Fox Minnesota or any other out of market Fox affiliate they dont show it. Why would they black out a game when the local market has no control of ticket sales. Hey they lost so no biggie.

But he was 1 for 5. ...lol Gordo was 0-1 but came to the plate 5 times. Got 3 walks. That was a damm good game today.

Hosmer in the month of June:

.303 BA
6 HR
17 RBI
21 Runs Scored

Pretty darn good.

Hosmer was lights out in June. Hopefully he carries this success over and wins American League Player of the Month in July

I wouldn't count on it. Hosmer looks like he has figured things out at the plate this year and is the best hitter in the lineup at the moment. But you can really just pencil in Cabrera the rest of the way and you would probably only be dead wrong for a month.
