Anyone watching the Royals lose for 20+ years cannot really be blamed for not wanting to be a Royals fan, IMO. It's the people who still root and watch them during this stretch are the true fans.

Holland refuses to throw a first pitch strikes and gives up 4 hits and a walk with almost 30 pitches.

Extra innings. I'm sure someone has gone over this but is there any radio station that plays the Royals live anymore?

I used to listen to KJCK, a junction city station on tunein radio. Last week or so it's been blacked out.

Mixed feelings about pulling Shields after 8. Think he was at 102 pitches. Hate to go all Hillman on him and lose him later in the season, but he was rolling. Perhaps he indicated to Ned he was about done (yes, I just gave Ned the benefit of the doubt).

Don't have a good feeling about how this ends. Have a feeling law of averages catches up here. Hope I'm wrong. Know this much for sure: KC won't win it in the bottom of the 10th. Two huge offensive liabilities due up. Please make me eat those words!

I have not a lot of confidence in Holland right now.

For all this talk about this great bullpen the Royals have....I'll be honest, I have not been impressed.

The starting pitching has been wayyyyy better.

Bullpen blew two games in this series.

Ugh. You know you gotta lose sometime but Royals had it. Poor Shields.

Can I call myself a fan? I've purchased MLB tv the last two seasons and cancelled before the end of June....this year I purchased the entire season @ once.

Royals are gonna continue to have problems scoring runs with three major holes in the lineup:

1. Frenchy - While his BA is up slightly over last season's, his OPS is down, strikeout rate is up (incredible as that may be), projects for half of last season's HR total and has walked FOUR times in 103 ABs (Frenchy is the anti-Kottaras!). One of those was intentional. Simply don't understand letting Dyson rot on the bench in favor of this clown. Take that, dead horse!

2. Moose - Time for the Gordon treatment, despite what the Genius says. If his ego cannot handle a reality check, he doesn't belong. That said, I like Moose's energy and attitude. Sure hope he figures it out.

3. Getz - I guess he's given a slight pass due to decent defense, but his numbers are down, too (from already anemic career levels). I don't really believe in Gio (whose numbers are also down so far), but maybe it's time to give him one last shot.

Looks like more raindrop-dodging in KC's future for game 1 of the Baltimore series.
