I figured a season long running thread would be too long.

Thread for each series too much?

I think the board will have a pretty decent following this year to keep an active discussion.

Thank god baseball is starting to take my mind off of Friday.

Shields vs. Sale 3:10 CDT

Very excited for Opening Day.

I like the idea of a thread every series.

Let's start the season strong. Might be a foolish thing to say, but I think today is actually a pretty big game for the Royals.

Shields needs to come out and have an ace-type performance.

The pregame radio is streaming on KGGS 1340. Don't know if they'll kill the feed after the 1st pitch, but I'm listening on tunein right now.

Bases loaded, 1 out, Butler and Moustakas up.

No runs.

New year, same problems.

Oh goodness.. The year is 162 games long and you're already freaking out. If you're gonna do that it goes both ways. So therefore Frenchy is already out of his funk from last year! Wooo!

Turned on the post game show and learned that Robert Ford is now the play by play guy with the Astros. Josh Vernier his replacement was acting like they just got eliminated from contention.

James Shield only gives up 1 run and takes a loss. Welcome to the Royals. I am guessing he is counting down the days he gets traded for picks.

Traded for picks.. You do know that's not allowed in the MLB, right?

Like the time he said Hosmer should move to 2nd base.

As Mellinger said though, this is what an opening day starter is supposed to look like. Sale has been a bad matchup for the Royals the last year or so. I don't see how any lefties can be able to hit him, and with a primarily LH lineup, it will be a bad matchup vs Sale everytime.

The top 3 pitchers for the Royals are the best we have seen in a long time, which means more possibilities for KC to get wins vs top of the roatation pitchers instead of the 4 and 5 pitchers. Excited for this season!

Now 2-1 after a second Sox home-run today.

The Royals offense exploded for a run in the top of the 3rd. Sure, 2 White Sox errors helped greatly, but it was a run nonetheless.
