Since the earliest actual written versions of the Bible date to 280 BCE, I fail to see how it can used as a guide to truth unless you know which sections are translated from the oral correctly. So, Pastor Mike, your premise is wrong on its face. Perhaps you should take a couple of Western Civ classes or maybe just reread Aquinas.

Webster's left the word "gullible" out of the 2013 version of its dictionary. Can you believe that?

I am pretty sure there is no actual elephant in any of the rooms of that church.

There are dozens if not hundreds of municipal codes that would run afoul of. I doubt very much they could hide an animal of that size, and someone would certainly notice deliveries of 300 to 600 pounds of vegetative matter per day. Would that not be suspicious?

Moreover, at over 16,000 pounds, it is quite dubious indeed that the floor joists would support the weight of an elephant, and few basements have the minimum 12'+ clearance needed to accommodate such a large animal. And how would you get it down a flight of stairs? Wouldn't its presence down there interfere with Sunday School classes and luncheon functions? There are just too many loose ends here.

I hate to cast dispersion on the truthfulness of a man of God, but I very seriously doubt there is a single pachyderm of any kind at the address given.
