I said it early this season...something is wrong with his mechanics at the plate right now.

I know he gets a pass from the fans because he's supposed to the next big thing...but at some point, it needs to be addressed.

He needs to re-learn how to handle the outside pitch. The book on him is simple. They're gonna keep pounding him away until he figures it out. Going to Omaha probably won't fix that, unless a change in instructors makes a difference (maybe he needs a break from Seitzer--whom I generally like). I wonder if Brett has worked with him much?

True. But that doesn't mean he doesn't have any sage advice to give him. I was just thinking about a left-handed hitter that hit well to all fields. The Royals happen to have one of the best of all time.
