Well...keep in mind that a move now (whether internal or external) will have more impact (5/6 starts, 100-125 plate appearances) than a move a month from now.

4 back now. 5 games below .500 since mid-May. Pretty good bounce back for Chen today.

Man, the offense really needs to get it going.
This pitching staff isn't going to hold up....the offense needs to start helping out more.
Anybody know when Sal Perez is coming up?
He's played a handful of games so far in Omaha...I'm sure they're treating this like his spring training.
Maybe after the all-star break?

It'll be nice having him back.....get hm and Cain back...bring up Myers...now we're talking.

My preference would be get rid of Quintero when Perez comes back, and cut Meier when either Cain or Myers comes up.

I just had this conversation last night. The Royals did overpay for Francoeur, but not by a lot. I think if the Royals were willing to eat $2 Million for a season, there would be several teams interested.
From what I read, the Royals offered both Francoeur and Melky Cabrera the same contract this past off-season. Francoeur said yes, Melky said no...bye bye Melky.
Things might be a bit different had Melky said yes to it.
