Kansas-bound Cole Aldrich is expected to reach 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds before his Bloomington Jefferson career ends. The 7-foot, 250-pound senior already has the 1,000 points. The other day, Aldrich was invited to play in the national prep all-star Roundball Classic in the spring in Chicago.

Keep up the good work Cole train. Scored 30+ in 2 of his last 3 games.

Where are those people saying he was overated? It's good to see that Cole is rebounding well from his injuries last year.

I'm predicting Brandon Rush will be back for at least one more season. His NBA stock is not soaring this season and he enjoys campus life.

If so, Cole Aldrich is the final piece needed to hang an NCAA Championship banner. We've already got the best backcourt in the nation, and his huge presence will give us one of the best frontlines as well. (Assuming Arthur stays, he's the only one who worries me about going pro at year's end).

I'm certainly not writing off this year's team. We can go all the way, but add this kid to the mix and we're awesome as opposed to very, very good.

Ain't it great being a Jayhawk fan? McDonald's All-Americans at every position and a Coach who will keep bringing them in every year.

I certainly wish, but without Chalmers and possibly King Arthur next year, bringing home a national title will be tough.

I don't see Mario's family moving their life to Lawrence, Ks for him to just play 2 years. I see Mario graduating from KU. If that is the case, his name and number will be up next to Max on the South end of the fieldhouse.

The move wasn't just to watch Mario play two years. It was a monumental standard of living shift upwards. You see who employs both parents?

No, she's team mom, but doesn't have an official title. And I never heard anything negative about the Chalmers' SoL before here; supposition, I suppose.

Chalmers' mom works in the School of Education on a grant supported project.

Maybe the Chalmers family was living it up in Alaska, but I would think that going from a HS bball coach to sitting on the sidelines being affiliated with KU bball and making 6 figures is a step up. Not to mention that 500K house Ronnie's got now. What do I know.

Some people live to gossip. Crawl back under that rock you came from or (my personal favorite): go back to hell, tubby.

I'll tell you that Cole is not the ANSWER to a NC. Not without Julian or Sherron feeding him the ball so he can score. I hope Chalmers and Brandon stay because Kansas Basketball is becoming more exciting than when Hinrich, Collison, and Gooden were here.

Tell us all about this change of living Mr Know It All. You got private connections? I got public ones. So you're telling all of us that the Chalmers moved to Lawrence as a "monumental standard of living shift upwards"? Proves why you don't know anything, even about Lawrence. Ever heard of Charlotte, NC? Its kind of a booming real estate market in the US. Chalmers household bought a house there 2 years before coming here (see link/footnote). Combine that with their house in Anchorage, and they just might be able to make a payment on some property in Lawrence, KS. I think ol Ronnie might have made out pretty good selling a house in a jackpot market. So you might just care to watch your mouth when discussing what a family like the Chalmers standard of living is. Id bust your mouth if I Mr. C, but he is probably a better person than I.

"Two years ago, we thought he was going to North Carolina. We bought a house in Charlotte. He decided to visit Kansas, loved Kansas, and we're trying to sell the house in Charlotte now," he added with a laugh.

Ronnie does have a Master's Degree. It's not as if he's unqualified for the position.

Here is one. POSSIBLY EVERY KU player in the past 3 years that has been recruited by Self has been over-rated except maybe Chalmers. If they haven't been over-rated then I suppose Self hasn't done much to prove their worth. Now when I say over-rated I only mean by KU fans that make these kids out to be gods before they step foot on the court at KU. So far I am yet to see a "god" out there. IMO.
