Fans shouldn't be surprised if Withey tests the waters. I read somewhere he averaged .1 more blocks per 40 better than Davis. And, NBA teams would love to have a 7ftr shot blocker as a backup center. Wouldn't surprise me at all.

already said his plan is to return, fwiw

If Withey goes ... we'll have a serious hole up front ... I think he should stay and polish his offensive game, but I'm not him.

It's in Withey's best interest to come back and I'm sure he will. Adding some bulk and some low post moves would do wonders for his draft stock.

For what it is worth, draft declaration has been moved up to april 13th, and 'testing the waters' or attending teams camps without agents is no longer an option.

Fukcing NCAA bastards.

FWIW I think Withey comes back. I also think he has the potential to be the best post player we have had on both sides of the ball since I can remember.

Starting line-up
Johnson -- Tharpe
McLemore
Releford -- White
Ellis -- Traylor
Withey -- Young, Wesley (in a pinch)

Not seeing the court much:
Peters
Lucas
Lindsay

Note we have an opening for a walk-on or two - definitely looks like we need guards, which are easier to come by as walk-ons

Most intriguing line-up:
Johnson
Releford
Ellis (he can play the 3)
Traylor
Withey

That's a HUGE line-up, with two Seniors at G.

Young at Center? Hudy has some serious work to do

no love for Peters? maybe i'm way off, but i can see him being more of a contributor than most everyone on here is giving him credit for...

I would think that Traylor would be more likely to back up Withey (though he also could play some time at the PF spot).

What are everybody's thoughts on Anrio Adams?
Is he someone we can come in and possibly fill in as a backup for the 2?
Everything I read says he's pretty well built.

My first post says as much. His muscle alone will get him on the court. His shot and play are a bonus after that.
