Sumlin and Fedora are nowhere close to going to Texas. THINK BIG regarding UT.

Fedora to A&M. Case closed. A&M alum. I'm telling you go with the name you've not heard of but has a track record second to only Leach for going bowling.

Mike Bellotti

As the head coach of the Oregon Ducks from 1995-2008, Mike Bellotti won 67.84% of his games, went to 12 bowl games, and won nine or more games seven times. He is very familiar with the Pac-12 conference, having won 62.61% of conference games from 1995-2008. Bellotti knows what it takes to build a championship program in the Pac-12 and UCLA might be a good job to lure him from the broadcasting booth. On the negative side of Bellotti is what we call Coordinator Dependency Syndrom or CDS. From 1998-2001, Jeff Tedford served as Bellotti’s offensive coordinator and from 2007-2008 Chip Kelly served as Bellotti’s offensive coordinator. With Tedford and Kelly as OCs, Bellotti won 77.03% of his games. Without Tedford and Kelly as OCs, Bellotti won 60.82% of his games. We state this not as some sort of indictment of Bellotti (we are recommending him for this job), but as a reminder that some coaches are more dependent on their coordinators than others. During any interview with Bellotti, it would be important for an AD to probe a little bit on who Bellotti would be thinking about hiring as his offensive coordinator. This was posted on their site in relation to a list of candidates for the Washington St. job, which Leach, of course, accepted.
