Actually "fancy cartoon" is a good way to describe it. It's a beautiful piece of animation with some Michael Bay Lite characters saying stupid sht during the live action sequences. Take out the human actors and you're left with an amazing 90 minute moving work of 3-D art. But it's still pretty good even with the Injuns v. Empire plot. I'd recommend it to everybody I know.

P.S. Phill Kline didn't like it, and he wants you to know why.

I quit reading after he couldn't get the directors name right.

I thought Avatar was one of the best theater movies I have ever seen. I would give the plot a B+ and the special effects were absolutely incredible. I went to an IMAX down here in Charlotte and not only was the show sold out about 30 minutes before the showing but people were in line hours before the show.

After leaving the theater I couldn't even think about the world I lived in that's how good the film was. You are literally in that world for almost 3 hours and it was hard for me to leave. I am in no way a fan of Sci-Fi but this is was an incredible film.

movies like this reaffirm my belief that republicans are scumbags and should kill themselves.

no social conservative has ever done anything worth a damn that I can think of. So end your own life you anti-american losers.

I loved it, and did not feel preached to.

I didn't either, but it did have some anti-war, pro environment overtones. Despite having lots of fighting, death and explosions.
Cameron has directed the top 2 films in terms of box office receipts. That's impressive, I guess.

Hey genius, you might want to try and form your beliefs based on reality rather than a movie about 7-foot blue people, mkay? Just a suggestion.

It was definitely pushing a biased social view, but I don't give a crap. I'm used to it. I still liked it (saw it last night at the IMAX at Studios 30), and look forward to the squeakquel. I'm a happily married man, however, I would like to admit my crush on the main blue chic. I would like my hair follicles to touch hers.
