Best area of KC

Best area of KC - 04/18/15 10:15 AM

to live in...let's just say I live currently in a hick sticks town about 25 miles from the KC urban sprawl. KC and this place is about 180 degrees different from one another. This is basically a meth town of about 12000 but it's in Kansas not Misery. Long story why I moved here but ready to get the fuk out. People are stoic here and the customer service workers are mostly rude as hell.

So I am divorced 9 years now...Don't need a big party scene due to being older. But I like hitting a good sports bar up for some libations and company. Have to have a house with a fenced in back yard due to my dogs. Don't have to be a huge place..couple bedrooms couple baths..would like a finished basement or separate den. I have been all over KC since returning to the area but can't figure out what area I like best. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Anywhere in Johnson County will probably do. Home value with cost to purchase or rent are also something to be considered, but also includes higher quality of people with that less square footage too.

One must always consider ability of resell and increasing home value.

Juco is boring....I do like old Leawood and Prarie Village. But I love the Brookside and Waldo area. Actually thinking about renting a double wide close to the stadiums and selling meth...yeah that's the ticket m

You work too much with your side business from scalping tickets and sports bet making.

You can always find a sucker to take a dumb bet.

Yeah sure. ..I could rent that double wide close to one of the casinos. Then scout out the big winners being escorted out to their cars. Follow them home and rob them. Oh dang somebody else is already working that routine.

Nice.. I see your game. Get a home on the water front and start a small business casino. I saw that one in a movie called "Boiler Room."

I see your referring to Kramer being followed home.

Ok all kidding aside. What do you guys really think the nicest area is...I think some north land neighborhoods are beautiful. .I think Waldo. .Midtown. .Brookside is neat daddio...old Leawood. .Overland Park around 80th and Metcalf is nice...KC is very diverse. ..not like Atlanta when I moved from. ..All upper middle class residential areas looked pretty much all the same.

Honestly I like new construction, 800+K houses...so for me, I prefer things out south. Whatever, to each his own.

Best area should be around Sprint headquarters when it goes out of business. Buying opportunity of a life time for property in JOCO.

You are probably spot on with that prognostication. Now when exactly will this happen.

Re: Best area of KC - 05/03/15 07:34 PM

Just a deep thought, Saturday Night Live style, after a little analysis because I like a relatived industry.

Here's an idea.

-Sprint market price drops to around $2 a share.
-NVIDIA Corp does an all stock merger for $10 Billion.
- Sprint gains better hardware with free online gaming and cloud server ability by NVIDIA.
- Sprint phones are then prices at 50% discount and offer better graphics with synergy saving. Gain market share with gamer and technology customers base.
- NVIDIA Sprint then becomes business partners with a Motion Movie maker for distribution in exchange for 1/2 of advertising revenue.

Sprint won't do that and becomes bankrupt in 10 years.

have always thought it'd make a great location for KU. Shut down the Lawrence campus and move in at 119th and Nall when Sprint dies off finally.

Stoopid as hell^^^^^^^^^....and a waste of Internet bandwidth. ..now a new arena for KU hoops...sure why not. .lol

Re: Best area of KC - 05/04/15 12:29 PM

You really wouldn't mind a new Phog Allen or is the history of the stadium priceless?

Better stadium seats that could just be upgraded, refurbish, and replaced, maybe?

I'm undecided on this.

My post was in jest. KU home games will always be on Naismith Drive...Sure more upgrades in the future might be a good thing.

Sprint down to $4 and headed lower. Anyone smart enough to short it a couple month ago for a quick 20% ROI?

NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA) is at 100.78, short of it's All-Time High of 120.

Good idea?
