KU bowling off and running in 2007 - 10/16/07 03:28 PM

The University of Kansas' mens bowling team has gotten their 2007-2008 season underway by competing in 2 tournaments over the past 2 weekends. On Oct. 6th-7th the Jayhawks placed 17th in a field of 44 at the Midwest Collegiate Championships in Wauwatosa, WI. Sophomore Austin Arnett led the team averaging 209.33 and finished 8th overall. The next weekend, Oct. 13th-14th, they competed in the Midstates Intercollegite Bowling Tournament. The Jayhawks placed 14th in the field, with Austin Arnett leading the team again averaging 195.5 and finishing 6th individually.

The bowling team has a nice break to gear up for its next tournament in St. Louis for the National Team Match Games over Thanksgiving weekend.
