Royals at Tigers - 04/12/10 03:06 PM

A wild pitch, a walk, and two errors for the Tigers in the top of the 8th (so far). Royals leading 10-5.

Probably just jinxed them.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/12/10 03:09 PM

Not watching, either - just the gamecast on ESPN.

Podsednik's 4-5 with 3 RBI, 2 runs, and a stolen base.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/12/10 03:10 PM

Sweet. Its nice to see off-season additions actually doing something for a change.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/12/10 03:14 PM

Royals are now 12-12 on stolen bases for the young season. Of course, you don't want to be perfect in that category.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/12/10 03:14 PM

Just saw an update on ESPN. Showed "Guillan" homering.

Royals win..and my free MLB preview ran out yesterday..After wasting an hour with Comcast to sign up the game was over. Those customer service reps at Comcast suck...the rep had no idea when the MLB package would go to HD...which Direct tv has now. Why oh why dont I switch.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 12:22 PM

bases loaded 1st inning, they need to get 2 in. Lets go Royals.

Up early. Keep it up banny!

NOOOOOOOO DONT GO TO THE BULLPEN
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:18 PM

Well 6 straight balls and a double. Looks all to familiar. Fun while it lasted...that is my Royals.
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:19 PM

And there you go...the Royals bullpen. Wahoooo!
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:26 PM

Lead is almost gone and Farnsworht is warming up! The mission of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory is nearly complete!
Posted by: alexoobers

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:26 PM

WHY? WHY? WHY Farnsworth????
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:27 PM

because that is just how Trey rolls.

BTW is there such a thing as a safe lead with the Royals? I am thinking no.
Posted by: alexoobers

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:32 PM

I was getting nervous with the five run lead in the 9th yesterday.
Posted by: alexoobers

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:32 PM

great, bases loaded.
Posted by: jnewell

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:33 PM

Should have left Banny in. Shouldn't have brought Colon in. Traded the second-best pitcher on the team for the second-worst. Royals getting what they deserve.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:34 PM

This Bullpen is AWESOME! Exactly what I expected.
Posted by: Topcitykid10

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:34 PM

I would hate to be a starting pitcher on this pitching staff.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:45 PM

One more of these games and i'm boycotting the royals until they fire hillman and will be an ALL Cubs fan.
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:49 PM

Hillman? Hey he blows no argument but did you see the pitching in that last innin? He can't make them throw strikes.
Posted by: JFish26

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:50 PM

What's Hillman supposed to do? He's mostly just arranging deck chairs.
Posted by: alexoobers

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:51 PM

Thats true. Its hard to make sh!t look good.
Posted by: Topcitykid10

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:53 PM

Banny was hitting alil funk, he dind't have to overreact and take him out.
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 02:56 PM

93 pitches 6 straight balls and a double on the 7th pitch. He was done. Banny has almost zero room for error.

Add in a freaking FIVE run lead and pulling him is far far from the problem.
Posted by: alexoobers

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 03:03 PM

Great. bases loaded again.
Posted by: jayhwk01

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 03:03 PM

Maybe I can get my Grand Slam this time.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 03:08 PM

Can somebody please tell me why I bother to remain a Royals fan? Painful.
Posted by: jnewell

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/13/10 03:11 PM

Banny should have been left in. He only had 93 pitches and had pitched well to that point.

Colon is the second-worst pitcher on the team. You don't bring him in. Cruz would have been much better.

You don't leave Hughes (a lefty) in to face Ordonez (a righty and a good hitter). No excuse for that.

The bullpen sucks, but by now, we have an indication of who sucks and who doesn't. Hillman brought in the suckiest too early and the best too late.

I'm thisclose to being a fan of the Royals only every fifth day and a couple spots in the order until Dayton's gone. It's so hard to live a mile from the model small-market club and still invest in the Royals. These are the kinds of days that will happen until there are, simply, better baseball players on the team.

Just heard they have 13 runs with 2 outs in this series, thats huge clutch hitting by the Royals.

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/14/10 12:57 PM

Split stat time. How many runs have they given up with two outs?
Posted by: oreadical

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/14/10 01:12 PM

15 for the season, by my count. 5 for the series (not counting today).

Re: Royals at Tigers - 04/14/10 01:20 PM

Today, Ordonez homered with 2 outs in the first for the Tigers. DeJesus's 2 RBI double came with two outs in the 2nd. Kendall's RBI single also came with two outs in the 3rd.
