He also announced 20 members of his exploratory advisory committee, an eclectic mix ranging from anti-abortion activists to business executives, including: Domino's Pizza founder Tom Monaghan, former Major League Baseball commissioner Bowie Kuhn, and the Rev. Fred Phelps.

OK, so I made that last one up. But, for a minute, you would have to think itís definitely possible.

He really doesn't want to win very badly does he?

If he did, he'd realize '08 is still in the backlash phase that no Republican could pull out.

Of course an Obama v Watts campaign would at least generate some serious interest across the country.

If a geek like Brownback can get elected to the Presidency of the United States, it'll be a dark day for humanity.

On the other hand, Shirl, he's the one guy I can think of that would have me "longing for the days of W."

I ain't no Brownback fan, but I have a hard time believing he would have Phelps advise him on anything and let the public know about it. Can you provide a source for the Phelps listing? That one is pretty hard to imagine, and I believe in giant maneating insects.

For a guy that is constantly ripping off a bunch of quick-witted one-liners, I am surprised you didn't pick up on the joke....not to mention my own admisiion that i made it up in the original post!

OTOH, Brownback is one of the few in Congress to have any interest in Darfur, even though 90% of Americans have no idea what that means.

I don't have time to explain. Just put an "I [heart] the janjaweed sticker on your car, er, recumbent bicycle, and you'll be okay.

Re: bareback in '08 - 12/04/06 07:57 PM

yes brownback has done a lot for darfur and i REALLY wish more congressman would. however that doesn't outweigh all of his negatives. W did a lot for AIDS in africa but i wasn't exactly first in line to reelect him.

hey, I was only being noncommital and emanded that form t_j becuase his countertop answers were noncomittal, uninformative, and generally worthless. And HE's the counter top expert... and visitors were coming over to the pad to ask countertop questions. Customer service is dead, it seems.
