Nobody's holding a gun to your head to watch them.

At least, I hope not. If somebody is, please post your address and I'll call 911.

Did you just hear that commerical?

UCLA Basketball season tickets for $140 ???

Good grief.

Re: UCLA Losing to Concordia - 11/04/09 11:24 PM

I didn't hear that part. I muted at the time.

I'm not surprised though. Other than the Wooden years, UCLA has since been irrelevant.

Yeah they said that when we dropped by Pauley to see if they had tickets to the KU-UCLA game when we were staying in Westwood for a procedure my uncle was having.

That's a little harsh.

They've made several final fours since then. Larry Brown took them to the National Championship game. UCLA played Memphis in the 2008 Final Four semifinals.

That's hardly irrelevant.

Re: UCLA Losing to Concordia - 11/04/09 11:31 PM

I mean, if you're gonna reference 2008 then why not 2007 and 2006?

Re: UCLA Losing to Concordia - 11/04/09 11:31 PM

Irrelevant may have been harsh. I'm going by overall performance, not a few peaks here and there. Overall, they've been inconsistent and compared to KU, UK, UNC, Duke, etc., they've been irrelevant.

There's always the 1995 National Championship too.

I kinda guessed that most people's memory is most vivid about 2008 for some reason. I wonder why?

Imagine if our wine-and-cheese fans owned 95% of the seats in AFH. That's Pauly Pavilion. They make appearances for important, national broadcasts.

Nice pics Twest. Are those trophys at Pauley Pavilion or are they kept somewhere else?

Re: UCLA Losing to Concordia - 11/05/09 04:11 PM

They're at the UCLA athletics museum, kinda like Booth only the museum and Pauley aren't connected. The museum is about a football field away from Pauley.

Cool thanks. I've considered visiting UCLA's campus just to see how it compares to KU. If I ever do go I'll have to make sure to check out the museum.

Re: UCLA Losing to Concordia - 11/05/09 04:19 PM

You should. It's a great campus. Not really on KU's level in terms of beauty though. It was smaller than I expected it would be..
