I Work for The University of Kansas

I Work for The University of Kansas - 12/03/09 08:03 PM

I am employed by the University - not by KAI, but I cannot say anymore without risking my job.

Would you guys like to know who is on Perkins short list?

Larry Fedora and Jim Harbaugh. I already know that.

Plus, if you work for the university, why were you such a dumba** regarding Mangino being fired?

You capitalized Gray. Is that a hint that Lew lured Jerry Gray away from Memphis? lol

You also mention black and white, putting black first. Is that a racial reference to Turner Gill? You didn't cross him off the list. . .

Allow me to play devil's advocate...
I say we won't hear any OFFICIAL news of the new hire for at least a week. An announcement today would fail to factor in 2 very important factors, politics & PR.

Lew must make it appear that his actions fall in line w/ the chain of events that led to the current point in time (ie that he wasn't working on a replacement until AFTER Coach Mangino made his announcement).

Given Lew's proven business savvy, he's probably, at the very least, had "feelers" out for at least a week or two.

Waiting at least a week would give the appearance that Lew took no course of action until after he was made aware of Mangino's decision to resign. This would prevent the media and public from claiming he had a hand in forcing Mangino out and was working on a new hire prior to an offical resignation (regardless of whether this is true or not).

Like I said, just food for thought.

For our sake, I hope your right. But I bet Lew plays it politically correct and waits a bit before announcing (assuming he has a deal worked out, already).

Re: I Work for The University of Kansas - 12/04/09 05:13 PM

The sun is setting, officially ending today. No new coach.

So for those dealing in false promises, what'll it be...a day in the stocks in front of Memorial (stones furnished), some tried and proven waterboarding down at the pond?
Suggestions?

I'm not falling for this. We're still waiting for the scandal to break on that tax invasion and treason thing.

I'll stick to my above theory of no announcement for at least a week... if a coach & deal are even in place.

Nice try eso.

Isn't it rather obvious why Mangino was fired? ERRR I mean why he resigned? Lew had the goods that Mangino was guilty of tax invasion and treason. KU is in the clear now.

Or Monday. Or Tuesday. Or not.

I will say this: Something is going to happen. Sometime.

There. I said it. Now deal with it, people. Some...thing...is going to happen...really soon. Sometime.

Phew. Dangerous, but I said it.

Good call. I just found it comical that someone would post something so definitive and defend the original post like mad and then suddenly abandon the entire thread.

It is a common trait in the FOS's ! (full of $hit$)
